According to Marine Traffic the Crystal Ray is in San Diego but has not berthed yet:

Yea supposed to be tonight. I guess SA got notified and so called me that it’s arrived “at port”. Was a bit surprised how confident he was I’d take delivery within a week given port delays others have experienced at Benecia but maybe SD has been better.

Does Porsche unload in San Diego? I'm curious if people who are taking delivery in NorCal might be getting their cars dropped off there instead of Benicia?

I know LA cars are unloaded in SD. Not sure about NorCal but would guess Benicia. Looks like Crystal Ray moored a few hours ago.

I thought that would be the case too, however when i took delivery of my GT4 in PECLA, my car was dropped off at Benicia and then trucked all the way down to LA. So i figured maybe they would do the same and save me some time rather than my car just sitting on the boat for close to 2 months

I just realized something too. Wonder why the Daisy Leader is stopping in Port Hueneme first before hitting Long Beach and then San Diego? Seems like it's taking an even longer route as both of those ports are south of Hueneme. You'd think hitting SD then LB and then Hurneme in that order would be quicker.

Your questions have been answered before in this thread:
  1. Porsche has facilities in San Diego and Benicia.
  2. San Diego receives cars destined for Southern California, Benicia cars for Northern California.
  3. Ships dock in order of optimizing their loading and unloading procedure, not what is most efficient from a geographic standpoint. In the case of Daisy Leader, the reason it's stopping at Hueneme first before San Diego and Long Beach is probably because the load of cars (BMWs, most likely) is closest to the ship's offramp and are likely blocking its Long Beach load (likely Mercedes) and San Diego load (Porsche and other VAG cars). If the ship is taking on new cars at any of its stops, that will factor into the order of its port schedule as well.

Crystal Ray already has unloaded the cars destined for San Diego and is on the way to Benicia (ETA on 7/18).... I hope the people in Southern CA (and I assume the general SW of the US) will get their cars soon.

PS: @Ferrarisimo: Benicia is not only for Northern California but also (at least) for Oregon, Washington State, Idaho and potentially other areas (e.g., Utah, but not BC).

I think the reason i kinda doubt #2 is because when i took delivery of my GT4 back in 2023, i took delivery in LA at the PEC. Due to that i would have expected the car to be dropped off in San Diego. However it wasnt. It was instead kept on the ship till Benicia and then trucked down to LA. I did not use a NorCal dealership as mine was out of state in Oklahoma so that was not a deciding factor. I also live in NorCal and tracked the car driving past my house.

Your other points make sense and i think i just didnt make the mental connection as those facts were kinda given off hand and not directly to the reasoning behind my question.

What's the over/under on when these cars will make it to the PNW? Are you getting any guidance from your SA?

I'm also in the PNW. My original TYD ETA was 7/27 and about a week ago my SA told me I was likely looking at end of July or a few days in to August for vehicle pickup.

My TYD app has an estimated range of leaving the port from 21 July to 13 Aug…. Arrived at the port 17 July
