Good news for you two. It docked at Emden an hour ago. It seems like it’ll be a fast load since it should be in Bremerhaven by Friday. Hope you get that email!!
Fingers crossed! How would I be able to tell when it leaves port besides not getting the email 😂

Half jokingly, keep hitting refresh on the Vessel Finder site? Bremerhaven is the next port over from Emden and Cepheus is supposed to land there on Friday 04/29 at 10pm UTC / 3pm Pacific. Working backwards from that, since it’s Wed night here already, you should start hitting the refresh button around tomorrow afternoon -dinner time? If you zoom in and see tug boats next to it, it’ll be leaving soon. Reminder that the emails didn’t arrive for us on the Jiuyang until ~4 - 5 hrs after it undocked from Emden. Good luck!

I think you might be right. I just checked Vessel Finder and I saw its speed is up to 3 knots and sticking its nose out further into the Channel (versus tucked behind that peninsula where its speed was hovering between 1 - 2 knots only). It looks like the brunt of the big waves is off the west coast of France and mouth of the Channel so if they veer north of it, they may be OK. I see more ships in the Atlantic too.
Jail break time?
EDIT: False alarm - it's back in the harbor. It might have been getting its engine warmed up for an afternoon jail break as Zanary mentioned. :-)

@FileTitan@ThrustNormalBreaking News: Cepheus Leader is on the move! On Vessel Finder, the tug boats are taking it out. Good luck with the e-mails!! (Reminder it may take up to 4 - 5 hours before the e-mails go out. )

Some good news on that front: I see Sumire Leader ( a NYK San Diego bound ship that left Emden a couple days before Jiuyang and has been idling off the UK coast ) is heading out of the English Channel now. Which may mean Jiuyang may depart shortly as well. I don't see huge red blob(s) of high waves in the Atlantic on the radar either - just light yellow areas off UK / France.

I hope so, but right now it doesn't appear so. 9mph and against wind direction.
Let's keep checking every hour! 😀
BTW, we have just over 9500 miles to get it to the Bay Area (less for San Diego of course)... A long trip ahead! Let's just make it out of European Water as the first milestone!
Congrats @FileTitan on making into onto the Cepheus Leader! Glad to see we've all made it onto a ship before April 1st.
Some of us weren’t so lucky. No email yet and this is now the third ship I miss. Looks like the disappointment continues with Porsche. Going on 8 weeks at Emden.
