Can anyone PM me your agreed upon price with the dealer with options? Thanks. I'm close to going in and placing an order or to be put on a waiting list if allocations are all gone, but would like to know if dealers are getting MSRP or higher or lower in this market.

My experience has always been, with first run, special cars- msrp, nothing over, no discounts (maybe a hat, if your lucky). That's my deal. I would never pay over sticker and if your getting a big discount, it's not a very desirable car. Good luck.

From Germany (one of the debut cars - not production). It's nice to see more pictures outside and not under show lights.

Lovely. What's the word, can you order the Spyder specific wheels painted as yet?

Not as far as I know...you can order the other wheels and have them painted, but not Spyder specific...I would be curious what the weight difference is between the Spyder specific and say the 19" Carrera II wheels...

Sorry... I didn't take the pics. This is all that was posted. I too would love to see a side by side comparison.

Yeah... It's not in the ordering system yet. I want them painted the Titanium color from the intakes:

Hey Cayman- what color wheels will look best on a black Spyder? I like the black wheels and your titanium on white. I think black wheels on a black car might be too much.

Personally, I think Silver looks best on Black. I like contrast between the body color and wheels. It's all personal preference though.

The more I see the more I want it. I am thinking that I should be looking at a 997 with pdk. The rear visibility with the top up looks like you have a real small viewing area. Just something about this car just gets me going. I need to make a list of pros and cons for this and other cars that I am considering. I really wish that I didn't have to sell my gt3, but I was in a passenger in a car that got rear ended and my neck, shoulder, and back hasn't been the same and shifting gears really makes my aches and pains much worse. I just want to be back in a fun porsche again.

After viewing the pics of the Spyder on display next to the GT @ Porsche it becomes obvious that the Spyder's design is borrowed from the GT. So this is basically a poor man's Carrera GT ! (let's just call it the GT's little bro.) I love it !

Is the windshield on the Spyder on more of an angle then the standard Boxster?

Cayman nice color on the wheels...

I opted for the 19" Carrera II wheels on the car and I am planning on having them done in flat black
