The Spyder / Cayman R Auction Thread

Assuming that buckets add 10K, which sounds about right, and considering the abysmal presentation of this listing, I think the price was pretty much spot on. Sellers comments where ignorant and annoying which didn't help them at all.

That car did a lot better than I expected, based on the poor presentation and the black one that sold for less the week before.
If anyone knows someone in the market for an 18,xxx mile platinum silver 6-speed manual Cayman R, I will be listing mine for sale shortly on BAT and open to inquiries before it goes live. I've purchased a 997.1 GT3RS, so the R is going to be sold. Goes in for for the 4 year major service & new brakes on Friday this week, after which it's booked for professional photos for the BAT listing. If anyone is interested, or knows someone who may be interested, ahead of the BAT listing, just reach out.

It does look good. You should do very well.
I've not seen one with Sirius, is that a separate module or is it integrated into the PCM? I would love one in my R for those 3 hour drives.

The Siriux XM is integrated in the PCM. It shows me Sirius as an source option on the screen. Didn't realize this wasn't common on most of them. You should look into the Carplay kits (i.e. Mr12volt) which integrates wireless Carplay / Android Auto into the oem head unit. Super simple upgrade and big quality of life improvement. I have one sitting on my shelf I was planning to install, but won't be installing it now that the car is going to be for sale.

Tha nk you for the suggestion, I haven't had good luck adding these modules to older head units. I may give it a try though.

Hi:
Nice car. Do you have the original seats? Also, is this a Canadian car?
Thanks.

There is now a live listing in the RL Classifieds, which will stay up until my BAT listing goes live or someone buys it beforehand: https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1401403

I agree, but doesn't make sense to include buyer's fee on one of the cars and not the other.

Guards Red R just hit BaT:
6-speed manual
17,000 miles
Previous track car reverted back to stock, some non-factory items now present
LWBs from factory, now Sports Seats

Mine doesn't have a roof bump either. I have a base stereo CDR-30 with Universal Audio Interface and Bluetooth, that's it. No PCM, no sign of satellite.
