Ah, this is my car. Unfortunately a tree fell on it when it was street parked up from my house. Great spec and fantastic car. I am crushed, but not so much that I can't make an obvious pun about the situation.

So what is next for me..?
991.1 GT3 Made me forget all about my prior Cayman R.

I think we're all pretty biased so far given our responses. I'd say a GT3 of some sort. I know you have the thread where you're thinking about a 996 GT3. That's a great move although I think sort of duplicative to your 997.1 GT3 that you already own. A 991.2 GT3 I think would be a great compliment for track work and easier to drive with auto rev match and no lift shift for track. Best of luck!

991.2 is on the list but 991.1s seem like crazy value in comparison.

I recommend a 987 Spyder. Silver with MT and only 13K miles to be specific.

987 Spyder would definitely be on the list but my garage spots are claimed and I feel like it wouldn't be the best choice to live outside year round. Upside is no one will be smashing my windows around the bay area with the top off all the time.

Appreciate it! 996 is still the only GT3 that looks better after hitting the wall
8250 is peak power, just like 991.2. Both redline at 9000. G6 engine is extremely reliable.
Ah gotcha. In that case, the 3.8 is probably more eager to rev, even though most probably prefer the 4.0. My understanding is many of the warranted replacement engines have reliability issues. How many received the G engine vs E, F?

The switch to solid lifters in the 4.0 reduced a little moving weight, couple other changes here and there so the revi-ness is approximately the same. 4.0 has a better filled out torque curve, which you can fix on the 3.8 by getting Dundon street headers, and end up a bit quicker than a 4.0 without the aftermarket headers.
Any engine replacement since about mid 2018 has been a G6, and only two reported failures on the entire internet so far, both being bottom end failures like the 4.0 likes to do, whereas the original 3.8's were entirely top end. There's also the G0 which the 2016 model came with, which is better than the E and F, but still has reported failures.
Not a lot going on BaT for either Spyders or Caymans these days. Here is a rough plot graph to show where the 2023 listings sit. I am not well versed on Excel graphs but if someone has an idea how to incorporate mileage, I am all ears.

Thanks for keeping track. The numbers look like Joe Biden's polling.
