Indeed, it would be a car used purely for fun, as it should be anyways. Maybe a street/track hybrid build or something similar.

Funnily enough, it USED to have a half cage. Look at the rear shock top mount plastic trim pieces in the hatch area of the trunk. They are cut out so a roll bar could fit in there which must have been removed sometime in the past.

I suggest sending it to John McM in New Zealand. He’ll be looking for something to do in the near future.

I’d hate to think how long it would take the NZ authorities to agree on a repair to this and how long it would take.

Hey John, of I want to get a Cayman R from UK to Australia via NZ, is that possible?

Car will be bought in the next few weeks

As far as I know, there are no concessions for cars moving from NZ to Australia, so that wouldn’t make much sense. Otherwise I suspect this one would have gone there. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/use...4384121789.htm
