Oooh, that’s strong money. Good to see.

Oh wait, it had LWB. That must explain it. (Sarcasm sorry. I still don’t get it).

OK all you potential Spyder buyers, here’s the latest:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...ter-spyder-67/

Looks naked without the lower side stripe, but it can be added. AND it has LWB!!!!!!

This appears to be the earliest Boxster Spyder VIN for North America. Given the CarFax not showing an owner until 7k miles, it wouldn't surprise me if Porsche was using this as a press car or a marketing car. Granted, it doesn't have the press finish option, but my guess is they still could have used a car for those purposes without that option code. Also, the underbody of the front tub has definitely seen better days.

It looks like two posts were mounted through the frunk floor. Also 2 mounting points in between the seats.

Somebody talk Dave off that ledge. Here, take these two sofa seats and a PDK, and call me in the morning.

I’m good Mike. I’ve experienced the LWB. Not for me. I’ll take my heated sofas with adjustable backrests and pepita inserts thangyaveramuch.

I just don’t get the hype. I guess it’s just the “unobtanium” factor. We always want what we can’t get, right?

Personally, IMO, the LWBS and MT are what add "defining touches" to this remarkable soft top roadster. It's not that you have to have them to enjoy it, you don't, but I've had both and the LWBS just add a certain coolness to this car.

So what's our prediction with this black beauty? $70K? $75K?

$58,000 is my prediction. Seems like a fair bit of history on this car (lowered suspension, oil system mods, holes in places, no DME) in fair condition.

When I had my Cayman R in 2015, I wanted to see threads on DIY, track prep and driving techniques. I couldn’t find them. It was all about spec and values. Things aren’t much different now, but to be fair this is an auction thread and LWB etc do impact on prices achieved. Manual is also more valued than PDK. It’s a fact. However it doesn’t take away from anyone’s choice of personal car. Here in New Zealand we have epic winding back roads and PDK is my weapon of choice.

It does look naked without the side decals! That example looks like it has lived a rough life, and the under body panels are quite beat up. It's also missing the aluminum brace that ties into the back end of the rear underbody tray. It does have the carbon bucket seats though

It's the proper spec for a high sale price. I'm not sure about the front lips though.
