Has anyone else noticed lately that there has been a large influx of lower mileage Spyders listed for sale? I’ve generally checked every few weeks to see what’s out there for sale out of curiosity and all of the sudden there seems to be a lot of them listed on AutoTrader. Do you think it’s just the time of the year? Maybe people taking advantage of the current market prices? Both?

Some of the private party ones that just came up for sale have been for sale off market for a while with no bites. I think sellers now see that we've hit the top and its only going down from here in the next 6-12months so they are listing to cash out.

A couple of thousands in extra investment (just bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sports 4S for my cayman R for $1500) prior to the auction would probably fetch more (1.5-2x) during the auction.
Driving those tires down to the cords did not give people much confidence in how one takes care of basic maintenance items and how "spirited" you drove it.
