My guess is it'll come to about $55-60 cost per individual mile driven by the previous buyer, not counting gas/maintenance. That interior is EPIC!

Completely agree. The market has definitely softened - would love to buy this car at the right price. It’s a nicely spec’d Spyder.
I missed out on this exact car years ago when it was in Houston.

Yes and only one of 2 with buckets and a 6 speed in GT silver. I know we're getting pretty deep in the "uniqueness" level, by being 3 options in (paint, seats and transmission), but we're not getting down to the level of saying it's the only one with a certain leather option etc.

Peridot with Buckets and a 6 speed. This car was available at Porsche Beachwood in Ohio last week, they were asking $79k with 48k miles. Looks like it's been removed from their website. Would be cool if it went to a RL'er.

Do you plan to make another run for it? If I have the money & space I'd love to keep it aside but in reality I can only keep 1 spyder and I think I'd be a lot more happy with my 40k mile driver tbh.

It’s funny because I really want to make a serious run at this car, but I’d feel guilty taking it out and putting miles on it. Less than 5,000 miles is different than less than 25,000 miles, which is what my car currently has on it.

Now there is a PTS 987 Spyder in Riviera Blue out there that’s a 1 of 1 car - awesome spec and low miles - there would definitely be a bidding war on that car! Has anyone heard from the owner lately?

I’d say not to feel guilty buying a minty low mileage car and putting miles on it. There’s always going to be low mile collector cars out there for us to admire and see how it rolled off the assembly line. Unfortunately, even driving it one time a year is a risk. A deer could jump out, someone could rear end you, just so many possible factors and after one of those situations I just described, it’s no longer collector worthy. A seller on BAT actually had that happen on a sub 10k mile 997 GT3. Got sideswiped on the way to get a PPI during the auction. Just my take.

Imho the value of a low mileage collector vs. value of low mileage so you're essentially getting a new car are two different objectives.

The value in the latter is to drive long term, not a financial investment to flip and that value may be just as much as a collector in some cases.

The R in this case is basically a new driver. The exhaust housing discoloration is so minimal, after R&R'ing many, this car is basically new.

You don't get many opportunities in your life to get that, 10 years after new, in a one-year special model.

PS Very curious to see if this one can catch the value of the GT4 coming up after it.

It caught up and surpassed it!... the GT4 went for $85,450 before buyer's fee

The GT4 went RNM, guessing he had the reserve over 90K

Have been watching BAT and it seems the unicorns (4K Cayman R) are still bringing top dollar, but

the more average sports cars are starting to go below previous market. Stock market declines/future worries? Don't know, but avg. cars have dropped.

This is a better time to pick up avg. miles cars for a discount, unless you believe, as I do, the economy/market has farther to fall.

Agree, take the average-mile car at a discount! My R is still the lowest I've ever seen sell at these auction sites and that's primarily due to the May 2020 auction end date (trough of Covid market selloff). It went for about 30% lower than similar spec'd examples (6-speed, carbon buckets, PSE, Sport Chrono, no accident history, etc.). Literally $100 over reserve the seller said.

In case anyone missed it, this Spyder brought all the money. Delighted to see it frankly.
