Wow impressive job! Can you share your secret ;-) How did you get the aluminium and casting parts so shiny?
I have had all the aluminum pieces aqua blasted then painted with a 2 pak matt clear to protect it. When it comes back from blasting it looks too shiny / blingy so the matt clear tones it down a little making it look more natural.
Just waiting for the front sway bar to come back from powder coaters then i can put in the rest of the front suspension. I will post some more pics then.
Installed the 997GT2/3RS carbon shift ****. It definitely feels better in the hand. Nothing wrong with the original stock unit, but this sure feels like an upgrade.
You might try adjusting the cable from inside the cabin. Remove the floor of the console inside tge storage area 1 screw and its a double nut
Did both, actually, as per instructions. The turnbuckle adjustment is very easy. Probably could have gotten away with doing that only. Wouldn't have had to remove the rear wheels!

Very Nice!!!
May i know if it was a direct swap? Did you have to do any modifying to the 997 shift **** surround, to get it to fit our cars?
No modification is needed. Because of the shape, you have to reuse your 996 leather boot. The 997 **** has a plastic locking ring at the bottom which locks the leather boot in place. Then it's just a hard press onto the shifter post.

Looks like he used the 997 **** on the 996 shift boot and surround.
I installed the alcantara version of the 997 shift **** that comes on the GT cars. The carbon version was an option on the TT if I recall. I really like the feel of it compared to my old RUF shifter. Yes, you simply use the 996 boot and surround.
