Rebuilt my fuel injectors, replaced most of the vacuum lines, new manifold gasket, aos seals, cleaned intake, then on assembly busted the little rubbery 4mm vacuum 'y' for the fuel pressure regulators pulling it under the manifold. I was almost ready to run her after 2 months of other work. Gotta wait another few days for the new one to come in. 944 life. Hopefully will get out before summer ends

Pulled the old brake booster. A step in the process I haven't seen anywhere is that if you have an early car, you have to remove one of the clamps that holds the fuel lines to the frame. Of course, that ended with me shattering it with a punch. Add that to my tab, Paragon. New booster going in after the clevis jam nut bathed in PB blaster.

For the coil connector you need a AMP Jnr Timer 3 Pin Female Housing 827578-1 + accessories --> http://www.compsystems.com.au/index....using-827578-1
A kit here -->https://au.bosch-automotive-shop.com...9-3-pin-female
I took the 12V from the existing old coil current supply, so I just relocated the wire from the old coil to the new coil harness. So far no problems. The other two wires I pulled through the firewall to VEMS. So basically I assembled a new harness for this. I ordered my VEMS with wasted spark option so Peep already provided an output to connect my harness. Nevertheless this was indeed a bit of labour.
The next was to mount the coil. So I cut an aluminum spacer, drilled four holes, sprayed it black, took four M6 x 50mm screws and bolted it down.
To program VEMS was the easiest part.
All in all, I started the work on it on a friday afternoon and went on the first testdrive in the evening at around 10 pm and posted my success on saturday.

Thanks for the info and especially the Aussie links. Much appreciated.
I will order the parts soon. How did you attach the aluminium spacer/coils to the engine ? That's the only thing I am confused about. I messaged Peep and he explained the software side too.
Cheers

Out with old, in with new... Both mids were like this. Pieces fell out when I took the covers off. Replaced both with new factory units. Door subs were both in fantastic shape.

Swapped out the bad PS rack from Autozone with another one from them.
I have power steering now. Yay!
Also fixed the wire connection for the rear trunk area light. Will fix the defroster connections after I get the glass tinted.
