Paint the porsche emblem on the hood to save weight then put a brick on your arm to tell (lap?)time? So racecar.

I love ITB's on NA motors - does it really make as noticeable a difference on a turbo motor? I would have thought the turbo lag would swamp any response changes of the throttle bodies...

I would not try that mod aftermarket on this car, however- the tuning can be very hard to get right so the car doesn't seem jumpy, particularly since the stock ecu is pre-programmed the anticipate the lag. Even the best aftermarket tuners can't match the factory for drive-ability, so if you're going to do mods I'd probably go the whole hog and start with something else. A used base turbo with a 2wd conversion, 4L, suspension mods using many of these parts, etc would likely be faster and cheaper, though I believe you would sacrifice some drive-ability.

They have something called a quick spool valve as well. Not sure the flange of the factory turbos. But it'll definitely help for those looking for larger turbos. That, coupled with triple ball bearing turbos would be insane!

If I were to modify this car, considering budgets… I would take a 911 turbo $120k used, then lighten, reupholster, rebody to your hearts content with carbon fiber and Alcantara, and then build a bespoke engine with 1000 hp… You'll still come in at 200 K, with a much faster and more unique car. This GT2 is just for the collector and the cars and coffee set… won't get modified

Well nothing hardcore but basic upgrades. Exhaust, intake maybe a ECU tune. But I agree those larger turbos, fully built motor etc. should be on a 911 Turbo. No not on something like this.

That seems a bit harsh. You could also just bolt on Hoosiers, "win" every DD, hillclimb and autocross you enter, then quite possibly still sell it for more than you bought it for. Sure that won't be as much as if you'd kept it in a bubble, but I'd be awfully tempted to drive the crap out of it. More so than a 911R I'd have to say- even if in concept I like the R better, the 2RS is clearly the ultimate tool for a number of jobs.
Of course it's CGT money from just a couple years ago (oh how painful to have missed that boat), and if you could do that instead...
