With restrictor. Unrestricted power (air and exhaust flowing as they should) it's actually around 570.

So basically we get a 520-530 .2GT3RS.

AP said new 9a1.5 had revved up to 10k and over 605hp. My guess is 9500 and 550 for RS.

I'm impressed that they've been able to pull 9k out of the GT3 with the longer stroke- corrected piston speed is at record levels for a production motor, surpassing the 918.

If you assume the 991.1 GT3RS's 500 hp is accurate I get the GT3.2 making at least 515 (lower friction, higher compression ratio) if they were not limiting it. Add in higher ramp rate cams enabled by the solid lifters (~525) and shift HP north to 8500 you'd see 540 hp (and a record 135 hp per liter) without pushing the redline.

In classic Porsche tradition, however, I suspect they will leave the engine's full potential for a last hurrah special edition. The RS will be oversold with 525, so maybe keep some in the bag for later?

^^ Porsche incrementalism is without peer in the automotive world. Making the same car for over 60 years and continues to surprise and delight owners.

Pete- keep in bag vs risk maxing out and blasting the valves...I'd keep in the bag.

This +100.

"something else" --> active Aero (like "ALA")?!
Maybe also the intake ducts are directing air downwards for this use....

WHen he mentioned the "something else" I got the feeling that he thought that I would get the message. That indicates to me that I should be able to guess what it is but I'm too stupid I guess

Minute 7:27, GT2 RS CLEAR shot, and it looks pretty fast compared to the other cars.

Anyone seen that one before?
Sorry, old news!

It won't be limited, don't worry! It will only be limited based on the size of your wallet

Realistically, you can expect to pay 350K MSRP plus tax if you do PTS and some CXXs.

The last 2RS was twice as limited as the R, but I think this one is going to be limited by the number of those willing/able to pay twice the price of a GT3. It will be a monster though!

I bet we see the electric turbo from Audi. This would not be considered a hybrid, but would essentially torque fill down low. It would need cooling ducts.
