Settled on those almost a year ago, but that particular project keeps getting pushed back in favor of mechanical work that will always take priority on a daily driver... Did you have to do any foam repairs? The leather on my drivers seat split years ago, and the foam has a chunk out of it on the right hand side bolster, plus some pretty big splits in the inner seatback, and I'm not clear on exactly how much I'll have to repair there.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's looking forward to seeing this- best of luck!

I took a midnight run to cherokee to play in the rain. I love winter. 70 miles and not a single car.

Yeah, I also had a chunk missing from a side bolster. I bought some foam that matched the stiffness of the factory stuff and just cut a square chunk out of the bolster big enough to remove the entire damaged section, then glued in a chunk of new foam and trimmed it to match the contour of the bolster. It was easier than it sounds, and it doesn't need to be 100% perfect since the vinyl will help conceal minor imperfections.

Edit: I took some photos of the process, I'll try to find them and post them up here for you.

Not too bad, I've seen worst...

At least the HUB mounting surface has been masked off, although the centre bore is covered in paint , does it use a Spigot ring? or is a direct fit...

Either way you'll have to grind off the thick powder to get it to go on..

Are the centre discs metal also or plastic?

Not bad? They are 100%
Centerbore is direct fit, migh use a 80 sandpaper to get it on. The senterdisc is metall, im not using those.

Ok, your going for the "Exposed Hub" look with no centre cover, looking at the top spoke (12 o' clock) and some other area's there's some orange peel effect in the lacquer.

Yes this is being picky, but paintwork quality control is my day job for the last 10 years, hence they are not too bad & I've seen a lot worst....

The beauty of Powdercoating is it's a thick application (Good for longevity) the downside in comparison to 2 pack wet lacquer (as used on body panels) is it's not as flat, and besides you can't flat and buff a wheel as easily or at all as body panels get done.

Wheels which have radius spokes and lots of contours come out better than ones with flat sections, also some companies paint & bake them vertically, others horizontally and this can have an effect when the paint starts to warm up, gel and solidify etc..as the paint can slide under gravity !

Yes i can see, all wheels from new genuine and aftermarket are powdercoated, it's only the quick fix / cosmetic / touch up services that add "new paint on top of old" and use a wet bodyshop paint and lacquer.

A few examples of how smooth the finish can be,
