I would spend my $300k with a different dealer if he asks you to pay over for a gt350.
Thanks, that seems to be the consensus. Unfortunately, all the Ford dealerships in my area play games. Toyota was worse, though, so I'm done with Tundras.

^+1 They are selling for under MSRP, here north of the border. Prices have been dropping substantially..
R's were listing for $140+K and they are all in the $120k range now and still not moving.
Track packs are in the $70k range with low km's.
I am still holding out for a new R for next year, but may grab a track pack if prices plateau or drop even further.. It's such a great buy at this price point.
Tony- Why not consider purchasing one from north of the border? the exchange is very much tilted in your favor...
GL!
Car got hit today as an idiot pulled out of a parking lot and then did a street u turn to go back in right in front of me. I swerved but it still got the left side. No Cars and Coffee jokes and I have already heard from my buddies that all Rustangs have been wrecked
Has anybody got any experience doing a diminished value claim in FL. If so what was your experience. I am not going to go quietly.
Good thing I like this car as I doubt I will be my usual trade or sell every 12 months or so.
Peter
Crap, good luck Peter and keep us posted.
Pre-crashed cars are at least 1 sec a lap faster...
I got the pricing on the GT4 version.....yikes. I'll stick with the GT4 MR Cayman.
They are aiming for ~225.
That's about right. All of the GT4 factory built cars are in that range.
What it then comes down to is cost to run the car and spares. Clearly running a Ford would cost less than an Aston or Porsche for example both on replacement parts and engine wear, etc.
This one may hit a sweet spot for some of you gents. Ford just unveiled their latest purpose-built racing/track GT350-based Mustang at the PRI Show yesterday, the Shelby FP350S. This car is the successor to the Boss 302S, and is designed to win in Trans Am and SCCA. The car is seam-welded, boasts horsepower in the mid 500's, a full FIA cage, FIA fire system, Sachs coilovers, and Motec data acquisition. We (Essex Parts and AP Racing) worked with Ford to develop the beautiful AP Racing Radi-CAL brake system that is on the car. It even has a finely tuned race ABS system. It is an incredible turn-key racecar at an astoundingly low price of roughly $115-$120k.
This car can turn some seriously fast laps, and was benchmarked against the cars many of you own. However, it is priced like an optioned Cayman GT4! They only plan to build 35-50 of them, which also makes it rather special. Within minutes of the unveiling they had sold 14 of them, so if you're interested don't wait too long! Contact info for ordering is in the third pic from the bottom.

I am stuck overseas again and missed PRI. This is a fun event.
I have been thinking about this one a little too long perhaps...this would be a great car.
Not a FPC V-8 in it though, according to forum scuttlebutt at M6G. It's running a version of the Aluminator XS engine. Seems like the Voodoo engine is a big part of the GT350 mystique, but they didn't use it in this car? Cost savings? Can't build enough FPC engines for the parts bin?
