Come check mine out. 12k miles. Spotless. Never seen track. They exist. But are far and few between.
I'd bet at least 1/3 have never seen a track, if bit higher. In the group of guys I drive with occasionally, I can count 3-4 that have never seen a track and are 10kmi+.
My car isn't for sale, but if it ever does come up, YOU want it, I don't care who you are. Its perfect, it has super low miles, and is exercised and maintained regularly, and has NO track time.
First time poster here but a long time lurker... especially on this thread. I check it daily!
I was originally looking for a RS America for my first dip into the Porsche world, but with the prices getting outta control on them I started looking into the more modern water cooled setups. The 997.2 GT3 have caught my eye and fallen head over heels for them. Hence why I check this thread and the classified daily for the perfect one.
Being a total newbie to the 997.2 GT3's, and Porsche's in general... are they and problem child things mechanical wise I would be looking out for why I search?
Also, besides buying from the original owner... is it best to purchase from a Porsche dealer? I know their prices will most likely be higher, but things will be guaranteed to be gone thru nice and proper and not glanced at, right?
+ Another enjoying it on the road. The car is an absolute blast on the right roads.

Thanks!
The only issue with watch out for is coolant hoses coming loose on higher mileage cars. And making sure center locks are maintained and torqued properly. RS, I believe has some issue with screws backing out due to harmonics of the single mass flywheel and blowing the engine, so you want to make sure that is taken care.
