Got all four balanced at a local shade tree shop...
I was desperate,
Can't afford $200 245-45-16 comp treads right now, so I have succomed to refitting the old BF Goodrich tires.
Vibrrations were unbearable at 70+ speeds.
...so, I go to this nearby shop, they will ballance my wheels, (they didn't see me pull in)
They're like yeah, we can do it, what is the car?
I say ..Porsche 928,...
...OH, you can imagine the exchange when I had to repeat myself twice.
...anyway...the guy puts it on the lift, removes the tires, ...
I'm, thinking OH BOY, ..
He's tugging on the fronts, then grabs a pair of channel lock pliers, and trys to pull the dust cap, (cue deliverance theme music).
An hour later, he comes over the woman at the desk, and whispers in her ear....
Deja kibort all over again, He asked her to look up torque specs..
I spout out 96lbs, he looked up at me over his glasses, I could only raise my brow while nodding.

It's a local shop, only reason I considered them is my trusted go to shop was booked, and closed on weekends.
As for the tire issue,
Seems I have a twerky torque issue with the rear end, my tires don't last too long. (some may not understand, as they spend more money on time capsules than I do on a DD)
Anyway....,
Short of even more drama, DO NOT
trust anyone else to touch your car unless they know lug nut torque specs.

The best part was when they axed for my keys,, I stuck my hand in my pocket, hesitated, and said, "well, it's insured",
The look on their face was PRICELESS!,

Time's up! Yup, the @#%* door handle hinge. This was the right side door, and it broke a couple of months ago. Damn, I hate this job. Fiddly as hell. My hands cramped a few times while doing this replacement. Lubed the latch mechanism as best as I could, hoping that perhaps I won't have to repeat this job for at least another ten years.
Somebody really needs to make a better replacement part for this out of steel instead of this crappy pot metal or whatever the hell it is.
While I had the door panel off anyway, I took the opportunity to finally install the 928 International "Armrest Backing Support Kit." This has been been sitting around in one of my parts cabinets for a long time (5+ years?), so I'm glad to finally have it installed. I'll do the left side tomorrow.

Finished my driver's-side door hinge yesterday, including clean and re-lubricate the latch mechanism. Door panel is still off for the other WYAIT stuff, will get refitted today. I can't say I enjoyed the job, but I did learn enough to make sure the next one will be a LOT easier. See Separate Thread.

Finished the Annual Electrical Maintenance Tour on the rest of the car while the door was apart waiting for the mail person. Grounds still look like new with a touch of the brass brush and a little Vaseline as protective coating, always comforting.
Installed the left side 928 International "Armrest Backing Support Kit," as I said I would a couple of posts back. That armrest was pretty floppy before; the left-most fastener wasn't really doing much, as the plastic part of the armrest at that mounting point was completely broken. The backing supports make a huge difference. The armrests are nice and firmly attached now. Highly recommended. I wish I would have installed these back when I first got them! Budget about an hour a side for these if it's the first time you've ever installed any.
Since I had the battery disconnected anyway, I took the opportunity to inspect and apply some DeoxIT to the 14-pin connector in the engine compartment. I was surprised to see that it (and the related wires) actually appeared to be in good condition.
And, yes, I have the proper cover.
Oh, yeah (almost forgot): also replaced a partially failed WLED-WHP5 back-lighting bulb (1 of the 4) in the instrument cluster. Minor annoyance. Interesting failure mode: 4 of the 5 SMD LEDs on the bulb had failed. Internal wiring failure?
