Porsches in the winter

I'm jealous, I wish I was able to drive my car in winter, but as was said earlier, Alberta is brutal on vehicles, I usually purchase a beater, right now its a 1989 Camry LE 4 cyl with 424,659km! The winter toll takes on anything new, we have a 2009 Tacoma that the wife drives But I prefer a POS Its just heart breaking to see the cars beaten up. Just before x-mas I did see a fellow driving a dark grey 996 turbo in Edmonton! If I could I would drive the Porsche! Its a long wait, sometime, usually May when most of the rocks are off the road! geez depressing eh. LOL!

THIS is what I like to see - people enjoying these cars all year long!
Are those the sport edition wheels? I have a similar set on my Mazdaspeed 3 - they have held up pretty well over the last 2 years - the center cap hole seems to be susceptible to a little bit of bubbling on the finish - I was advised to rinse/wipe them off periodically.
Do you have any spacers on those ones?b
Also, anyone know what the ideal offset for the 996 C4S is (is it 50 upfront and 40 in the rear)?
As for resale values of past comments - yeah, driving the car year round might affect resale a bit - but did you buy the car for the next person?? Personally, I'd rather buy a car from someone who has taken care of it for the past 200,000km vs the guy who neglected it for only 20,000km.

Glad to see you Porsche Guys are enjoying your cars through the long winter months.
Alas, we have some Corvette Guys / Gals that insist on storing their cars away for the winter ... and I can understand that if they live up in the far north, where the plows don't access their roads, or something like that ... but if you live in the GTA ... then get the car some winter booties, and get out there and have some fun!
