Drifting
It's dried out quite a bit here, and the City brought a blade in to clear out the ice hole at the end of our back lane, so I took the 993 to work on Friday. The noisy lifter quieted down after a few minutes, and I enjoyed a spirited run up Deerfoot Trail a ways, before backtracking to the office.
It felt good to have the car out again; it's been about 4 months.

I know this post is dated now, but I bought my 964 C4 to replace my DD Audi A6 TT Quattro. I can't wait for it to snow now!
Like others on here, I have a passion and a love for my p-cars, which means I want to experience ownership in every way possible (street, rain, snow, track, etc).
I'm sure my 964 will remain in the same or better condition during the time I own it, because of the amount of cash I'm willing to put into it to keep it tip top and shinny.
I never drove the SC 3.6 in the snow because there's no heat, therefore making it a summer car.

Yes, it's still for sale, but I'm past the point of frustration with people wasting my time about it; so, I took down some of my ads.
Maybe she'll just end up as a track-dedicated car for when I get more serious about DEs.
And... my garage looks freakin awesome now!

The one here was just acquired from somewhere out west (canada). It's dark blue with Carrera script.
Apparently, the previous owner did all the work himself. I used to have an SC and there was something different about this one. Very short shifts and, for a 915, very precise. I think it might have had a gate shift installed.
It's far from perfect inside but really nice. Just not restored quality.
I think he paid about $18,000 IIRC. But there was some funny stuff happening. I hooked him up with some new front tires and alignment. He was running 1" of toe out in the front!!!
Anyways, GLWS and enjoy the winter, my 997 is wonderful in the white stuff.

Can anyone comment on driving a 1997 911 TT in winter.
About to purchase a 97 993 TT and am thinking of driving it in Montreal winters.
I know clearance will be an issue so I won't be taking it out on bad days.
But for regular winter days with a few cm's of snow how will it be?
I would obviously slap on some amazing winter tires...
Essentially what I'd like to know is how the AWD system of the 993's performs in winter weather.
