No, we 964s didn't pose much of a threat and I'm not convinced there's much more to eek out of them, unless Doug is going to find seconds at HD that I haven't. Watching Chris and Steve circulate brought back Graeme's wise words, use the manufacturer's research spend. If it wasn't for the RUF Bilsteins needing repair I would stop enhancing the C4 and leave it exactly where it is at. I will fit them and that's it.

John. I came away feeling quite different and it surprised me. Generally running 0.5-1.5s slower than Chris and Steve on most tracks I felt with some more experience a fully functional gearbox and some better pads I could close the gap a bit. Throw in a re gear and it could be a bit of fun chasing them. Matts car car cannot be beaten but on the short nz tracks the 996tt may not be so far in front of the old girl as you may think at least with the right driver/experience? Could be fun trying if one had more time at the track....
I'm not sure what Chris can do, but a quick bolt in race seat and 221's instead of the dunlops will find him a second too.......
It's an arm's race you can't win....................but there is no logic to what we do :-)

Until Steve lowers his 997 from stock height, does a track geo, changes out the brakes for steel so he doesn't have to go soft or worry about finding $7k to change the disks, chips it, changes out the R888's for 221's - and finds another 2-3 second's in the process to nuke your 0.5 of a second. Ditto that. I'm knackered. I'm leaving the 964 in Wellington. My son has an assignment here for another 2 weeks and needs transport so you may see Lola around town as I'm leaving her in his hands until we return the week before Easter. I fly home Sunday night.

Congrats to you all for making it off the last track with little or no marks to show for it, other than tiredness!
Took a drive over to Opoutere today, noticed lots of great cars on the road, including a fantastic early Targa in a rather bright orange. Found out much later that there was an event in Whangamata, which explains the fact that a portion of my dream garage had driven past.

Three Wheelin'
Macca you gonna run 2 development programmes???
Cos bet you will end up with a few modest tuning things on the gt3 as well. Mind you given the need for a gearbox job anyway may as well select the right parts to do it with :-)
Arms race ?? what arms race ??
hmm think the kit car might need cams, valve gear for another 30/40hp and 1500 top end revs for next years SITT - haha what arms race.

Now there's an idea Doug!
No need to worry about synchros or buzzing an engine, even comes with a spare motor lol!
I've definitely hit a wall must be age. Joanna drove most of the journey today. I'm fully satiated! I need some sleep!
