Thanks Michael. Im half tempted to take it to the track tomorrow and give my wife the GT3 keys to take to the Mall! The weather looks dire and the 4WD would be perfect. Unfortunately I haven't left enough time to ensure it on the track I suspect...

I own an identical car with identical mileage - I don't need 2 of them??

Its a well known Wellington club member car and I chatted to him at the Festival.

Looks to have a $90K reserve - so could be a cheap GT3 for someone.

I had someone at $120K on mine about 2 weeks ago but chickened out as I couldn't figure out what to replace it with for similar money. You really need to tip in another $50K to get a similar or better performance Pcar. That $50K was at a $120K delta - I might have to adjust my argument to twice the money??

If money was the key concern, I might be regretting letting that offer go now??

It does look to be a 003??

Be interesting to see how this one plays out..........

The Focus looks nice Macca, but keener to see the Alfa.

Sorry bud - I wrote "guide" the iphone wrote "guys" so I can see how that got confused. No you do t need two!

$120k is strong money right now for a car like yours. I think you did well resisting it but as you say there isn't much this side of a GT4 that would be worthy if you want something for the track.

I woke up to the rain and the roads in Milford were flooded. Had a key delimma...!!!

Unlucky with the weather. It might dry off this afternoon for you, like it has before! In any case I’d take the Focus if I were you.

PS Macca your review must be the longest piece of prose ever written about the car that doesn't mention a certain Mode beginning with D... Tried it out?

Have fun today those at HD.

Michael. I haven't used Drift Mode yet just like I've never used launch control on the GT3 even after 3+ years ownership. I could say I've never been in a situation to try it or when I have I've forgotten too - but really I'm a bit of a Luddite at heart!

That GT3 looks pretty nice. Is anyone down that way going to check it out?

Turned out it got dry on the track. Should have brought the GT3 after all lol!

The Focus RS has acquitted itself well in less than perfect conditions. Into the 19s last session. I ordered it on the heavy wheels with road tyres as the cup2 wheel option was 3k and the car is never seeing the track (tui moment!). I think on the factory cup2 wheel option it would lay down a high 17 driven well. The car corners well, I'm as fast over the hill as in the GT3 but exiting T10 12kmph slower and the lack of power, 1660kg (with driver) and brick like supermarket shopping trolley aero really holds it back. I run out of puff. V max speedo has shown 200 a couple of times but gps would be 195 so slower than the 983 was

I think the 45 bhp and 70nm bump with the Cobb map with the cup2 would give it a 16?

Was only having a look if it's a sub 100k car, which it won't be.

A friend of mine is pretty keen, so will no longer bid, hopefully he secures the car.

Macca, I agree, the Focus looks great in the flesh, rally like, photos don't do it justice.

Borrowed some dealer plates and collected the GT4 yesterday, stunning car and worth every cent, will write more when not posting off my phone.

Spent the morning at Bracu, generally loathe guns, had never touched one until today, but lots of fun, we should organise a drive in the area, then lunch and some clay bird shooting.
