Looks like RS911 is on a White 1977 turbo at the moment... But that started later...

I so want to love Alfa's again. Hope they can get on top of the reliability and after sales service issues. I bought a 159 2.2JTS for the mrs on the strength of the looks and that it shared the underpinnings with various GM products (so I foolishly thought it would be reliable). Didn't drive like an Alfa should have, looked fab but was a disappointment. Here's hoping they can overcome these things with their re invigorated new product.

Initial signs are good Dave. Fortune favours the brave mate - cant be worse than Porsche p[roduct mate - I bought a factory new GT3 uber German engineering marvel and now on my third engine LOL!

0-100 confirmed by Alfa at 4.0s. They say it will be the fastest SUV on the Ring. As you say lets hope its reliable. With the Ferrari designed engine and the looks really there is not much other than reliability to hope for...

Walter, all posts have been on the RSG closed group on Facebook. I'll let the owners decide if they want to post on this public forum.

Let's just say it wasn't without incident

Great day. Really enjoyed the track and the company. Good to see lots of air cooled. The one eyed T will be back.

Likewise Dave. Ouch. Good to hear you're OK though, and - by the looks and your comment - that it didn't stop you driving her.Still loving that Signal Orange but she does look just a bit overdue for next beauty appointment.

Craig, how's the Turbo? did you ever fit the aftermarket lift kit that came with the car?

Hi Pel, yes, I did, or at least someone else did. I was ok with the mechanical part, but electrics and I have a hate relationship, so luckily I farmed the whole job out to a company just behind where I work, they are great to work with and have an auto electrician on site. After a lot of mucking around, we found out that the original module to fool the spoiler alert was faulty, and so Dave sent me a new micro module, which worked straight away. Many hours spent. The Turbo is great, just not enough use, it did fail me and the family over in Pukehina, turned out to be the battery, again, many hours, trailer back home etc, but I love driving it, the power and modern A/C is great. To me, its a grand tourer, just wish our speed limits were a bit higher, 130-140 is its sweet spot on NZ roads.

Must be a 996 thing, if I leave the keys in the ignition of the GT3 the battery goes flat also.

I was in Pukehina last week, great spot.

Good to hear the kit worked out, more cost and faulty module aside, sounds like your enjoying it, I miss that car.

Macca, I shared a garage with Thomas & Scott for the day, great guys, gotta say I was most taken by the old 968CS, what a mint car!
