Update. Hyper sell splined lug nuts. They are not a lock nut as such. All going well the grinch will be running around Kohi on new rims by Saturday afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing the race car out there. Will be interesting it see how it measures up against Steve's 964.
I haven't seen either of them in 6 months. Dying to get them out. Only a couple of weeks to go.

The race car needs a tidy up, but with a new cage and some paint here and there it should come up right. Having not done anything more than scrub in tires in 18 months I don't think I'll be chasing Steve any time soon. I'd imagine he could do a 12 in it though.

That reminds me Sean. My Z221s still have life in them after the NITT and are in the Europacific van so I'm good for 5/10. Thanks for the offer of tyres but I won't need them.

Will do Neil. Progress for me will depend on weather.

where is Macca? unusually quiet on the forum?

How many heat cycles you guys reckon you getting out of 221s before performance drops off (even if not worn out) My 03G s now done maybe 55 heat cycles and they are taking a bit longer to get grip from pit exit but once it comes in the grip seems not too bad still.

I personally think you only get about 5-6 track days from a set (on a 993). I also think they drop off at about half life (or on about the 3rd track day).

For durabiliy and the number of heat cycles - 214's are far superior (but not road legal).............

Nice project and worth a bit of study for some around here.

Very nice. The silence on this thread is deafening. Where is everyone?

Family breakfasted, shopped for bits, voted, now time to get some grease under my fingernails again :-D

Post NITT blues Doug

Much the same as you - breakfast out, voted, shopped - and already got grease under the fingernails changing a tyre for a couple of stranded young ladies on the side of the road (now where was Dan when you need him!)

I've been Honda part hunting. Hyperdrive to drop off the VTI-R rims for new Bridgestones and sourcing a spline lug socket. Then Strong Honda for a set of 'Fat Fives' that we will fit the Dunlops to, air box and duct, plus rear muffler box. Then on to Repco for oil and filters. Now off to Pukekohe to view the potential third Integra.
