Wheels arrived - pretty much as expected and in need of a serious clean which will have to wait for the w/e. There are no cracks or welds and they appear true to the naked eye. The lacquer has chipped in places and there are a few deeper gouges and scrapes.
The tyres are 80% and would be useful for a spare road set (Bridgestone Expedia SO-1) but there is a puncture repair plug on one that's pretty obvious. I wanted the wheels without tyres so they are a bonus anyway. Plastic porsche crest centres which saves a couple of $.
They will be track wheels so will be fine - hopefully I will get them refinished and shod for the 29th. No word back from Paul's contact re tyres though so will go R888s if I can't get the Hankooks.
Couple of pics although they don't show much more than the TM pics. One interesting feature though is the rear profile is more 'dished' and the fronts are slightly convex - same design just a different profile (not just the profile moved inwards with the offset).

Just the primary and a set of original springs. I will be getting the ducts as well plus clear corners & side repeaters for the front and the full set of rear lights (mine are very faded - 20 year originals by the look.)
Have you considered an RSA type spoiler - same as the 3.2 but colour matched grille - personal preference but I think they look really balanced on white cars and are quite a bit lighter looking than the turbo one you will be used to.

Peter, wheels look good, I think that design suits the 964 well and they are a very light option for the track. They should serve you well on 29th...
I see the vendor spared no effort or expense on packaging!

I have a set of brand new H&R springs if anyone is looking to lower. Progressive. Work well with an HD Bilstein strut. They are for 993 C2 but I think compatible withe 964.
John, I think Scotts already taken the DMFC along with a bunch of other stuff incase you ever decide to go back to dual mass flywheel....

Good that the wheels were as you expected. I'm going to try and touch up the nicks on the 996tt. I think it's the same colour on all Porsche wheels.
I replaced the Turbo 3.6 rear lights in 2001. Very nice when new. Old lights and plastic can really make a car look old. I sold the center to Masa who has the Speed Yellow Turbo 3.6. I kept the corners just in case but would only use them if I busted a corner and needed a short term replacement.
First thing tomorrow I will swap a front speed line to the C4 to see how it fills the arches. I will also see if my existing suspension is RUF and can be adjusted. It's like Xmas all over again.

Macca hold the thought on the springs until I see what I've got. Donna has ominously asked me to go shoe shopping tomorrow. The quid pro quo starts....
Peter, I really want the clean back so original is the current spoiler thought.

Yes we do - there are still a couple of spots open for the 29th and I suspect Paul will leave another.

How's it going guys? I'm in Singapore car shopping and thought that I would share this ripper for a laugh/ controversy/ wind up depending on how you like your Porsches modified...

No problem John, will do.
Luckily Jimmy Choo stores aren't so common in Auckland.
That's what I like about living here, when wife says shes going shopping, she cant possible spend more than a few hundred schekles! Of course that theory dies in the *** as soon as we spend our annual 2-3 months in the real world LOL!
John we have 1 maybe 2 (now Paul's engine is sick) spots left for 29th. Why don't you get Scott along. He would love it. Give Masa a call too and see if he is interested. Its always great to see his speed yellow 964T on track. I drove with (he used the Cayman) him last year on one of Rons Strovens famous Sunday runs. They are organizing one for my return on the 24th so I hope to see him again...

Hey Sean. That Stroesk kitted SC had me in stitches. Reminds me of a 928 I was offered for sale over there a few years back. Should have bought it for ****s and giggles...
I reckon you should push the button. Buy a chest wig and a medallion and cruise the strip!

Hey Paul, have you considered buying something cheap and cheerful as a stopgap measure? Something like the car J1nx3d posted about (http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...-563645259.htm) might be fun for a while. Probably similar power/weight to your car too. I know the engine's at the wrong end but you could always drive it in reverse
