There is only one Number One. Everybody ( well almost ) knows who that is.

This season, and right now in 2011, the only "one" who is going to see that #1 plate on his car is Vettel.

He deserves it and earned it out there on the biggest stages and the toughest race tracks against the best competition there is.

Heck maybe Ferrari makes a BIG offer and gets Newey and gets Vettel as their new Number One driver. And then they have Alonso as the #2 man. I mean they could not lose like that right? Kind of like Senna and Prost.

I am just being a little mean spirited.

Have you ....

The word race comes from a Norse word.[1] This Norse word arrived in France during the invading of Normandy and gave the word raz which means "swift "

Swift Pete, which part of swift is in this video ....

You should get with lou, lou, and Tonto, tighten up dem der lines and teach u how to suck bumper ..

Newey could be heading to Ferrari , it was suggested as part of the vig, Vettel no , he is still second tier , Petrov could win a WDC driving that RB ..

They all know that ...............

Thanks for edimucating the amigos, makes my job easier ....

Stefano Domenicali: “Honestly, this result is the best we could have hoped for, given our current technical situation.

Alonso is driving a weak stallion, ( or pete's 944) he is making Ferrari look good , not the other way. Alonso didn't fall of the track while driving the best car on the grid by a country mile, as vettel did in Canada for eg. Vettel will win his second WDC , but he will be no better than a Faux 2, the others know this .....

You see if you say it's the cars fault enough times it's not Alonso's fault. I'm going to start doing that too....

All kidding aside, it's pretty bad form to criticize someone else' racing if you:
A. Have not raced them directly.
B. Do not race at all.

It's one thing to be trash talking people on websites that follow F1 (I am thinking of some of the video gaming sites such as iRacing as well as a few others), since in many cases it is fans trash talking fans or video gamers trash talking other video games. But the thing about rennlist is, there are real world race car drivers who come here. Sure they may not be people racing at the elite levels of motorsports, but there is plenty of experienced people here. So we need to be careful what we say.

BTW ... I thought Pete drove well and I am jealous he has access to such a track and such a racing series. My local race track (which sadly is permanently closing in a couple of weeks from now) is no where near as cool and opportunities to race are not as prevalent.

The thing is that while Alonso has talent his off track antics and excuses have turned him from gifted to a whiney bed wetter. IF he was such a great test and delopment driver why Ferrari has not progressed.

He should just say he is happy to be with Ferrari and will do everything to make them World Championships.

well said.....so folks are just armchair critics with no real life experience.

I raced Calgary 100s of times, also Gimli, Edmonton, Vancouver etc .....was pres of the Road Race Club and held a pro licence for many years....won races and championships but never came close to these guys.

The basic race craft of F1 drivers is indeed at another level.

So Ferrari (thus far unsuccessfully after 2 attempts) wants to hire Newey so that even Alonso can win in a Newey car?

Sorry, your logic sort of escapes me with this one.
