Double DRS zone for Monza.

The Renault engines don't have the grunt of the Mercedes powered cars, but the RBR cars will have the advantages on Parabolica.

Because aero downforce is not as big a factor, expect Ferrari to shine as they always do at their home race.

My Dark Horse pick to crack the top 5 is a Force India car.

Alonso for the win, Schumacher and Rosberg will fill up the podium. The Mercedes cars are routinely significantly faster than everyone else in the straight line, I expect them to really shine here.

That may be, but just about any of the top cars behind a Mercedes with KERS and DRS activated will be quicker still. MS and Rosberg can finish top 6 but not podium IMHO.

I think its still the usual suspects at the top- Vettel, Hamilton, Webber and possibly Alonsette.

Concur with the above unless Bruno pulls a Sato.

I doubt they will be serious contenders, but with the straight line speed Mercedes showed at Spa, could Rosberg finally win his first race? I don't normally vote for Hamilton, but I did this time. I figure McLaren will be fast at Monza and as long as Lewis is not taking himself out of the race, he and Jenson should be serious threats. But it also depends on what tires Pirelli brings. Super-Softs and Softs? or Softs and Mediums? If they bring Super-Softs and Softs Ferrari should also be a serious threat. But I can't see the Prancing Horse doing very well with the Medium tires. This track does not play to Red Bull's strength, but it is the site of Vettel's first win when he was at Toro Rosso. So one never knows.

If Ferrari is going to have a day this year it has to be here on the their home track right. And as pointed out the Ferrari is for this track. So that would be good.

And as pointed out look at Button. He has it going.

But you have to keep Vettel, and I guess Webber, in the picture. Vettel is just rolling so even if there is another winner you have to look for him in second.

I am going to say Vettel for the win. Not because I think they have the best car but because they are just racing better than anyone, and going through problems better. They are in enough of a lead position to take a few chances too that might put pressure on the others.

5 years since wife and I attended this race.... sigh:-( Maybe next year.

Hard to bet against RB cars but would like to see Rosberg/Schumacher run well and Button has been driving really well this year.

I picked Alonso.

It's Italy. I'll bet Pirelli will push to run the softs & super softs, which will minimize any disadvantage for Ferrari, and you know that they are working 24/7 to make the cars as perfect as possible.

Well, Pirelli already earlier announced that they will ditch the hard compound from the remaining races... Nothing to do with Ferrari struggling with harder compounds of course, just a coincidence...

And Pirelli is also discussing the use of a "qualifying only" tire compound option for next season as well ...

Well, Pirelli is attempting to fix the race through tire manipulation. "Ferrari is bad on this compound, we won't use it." Why am I not surprised? Is this going to be the 2nd attempt to gift Ferrari a race? Of course it is! This move and Ferrari's straight line speed should bring them to or near the top step.
I think LH will get his act together and win the race.

LH - Good driving.
FA - The Vig
SV - Race manipulation demotion.

We can at least hope FA sticks his nose somewhere it doesn't fit and get it pinched. Poetic justice for Perilli.
