Yep. Real deal. He's already been offered well over $70k for the car. Gary, will you email me your number at dbryant@clarknexsen.com? I need to ask you a quick question. Racing this weekend.

Nope. Raced with NASA last year and got license. Only two weekends and four races. Hoping to race much more this year.

As soon as they remove about 30 ft-lbs of torque from a couple of cars.

Professional Racing and Driving Coach
Absolutely agree. There's aprox 1 sec going faster in 5th gear full throttle through the 1st S and carrying 5mph+ through the rest. Its all psychological, I just don't feel comfortable with the low throttle control (low torque at wheels) in that "high speed slalom" in case the car gets slightly out of shape. But I know by comparing the telemetry of some laps I did in my GT2 in lesser rubber (PSCs) that I was going 15mph faster (GT2's 4th gear is almost 20mph longer) at the beginning of the Esses.

Doing the Esses full throttle in 5th is what I need to work on this year's race (If I run I Prepared with the Big Wing that should be easy, the challenge is with no downforce in H Stock trim).

Dave & Paolo, The VIR record for G-class then D-class was around 2:18 for a while with the usual suspects. That became my target as I was developing my car and moving up the ranks. In 2008 at the Rumble, it dropped to 2:17 and change, so I figure no big deal - develop the car a little more and the driver a lot more and I can be close to the hunt. Then, at last years Rumble, it dropped to 2:14 and change. Two cars were running these times. Saw them come out of oak tree in a pack, step out of line and pull the field with 8-10 car lengths by the end of the back straight. To me, it is obvious what is going on. These guys are very good drivers, but not 4 seconds faster than the rest of the D- and E-class fields.

Not avoiding hot shoes - there are plenty in NASA MA GTS. I just want a distant hope of eventually being in the hunt. I do not see that happening until PCA fixes things.

Ted, Watch It! You have to sleep with me this weekend.
