My cousin is a track member at VIR, I am planning to fly in a member's day, rent a car to learn the track and then fly back home......that is the idea anyway......
I am was not planning Mid-Ohio, but I will look into it.....

It is Julia's birthday (my daughter) on April 23rd, and she would really, really, REALLY have dad be there for her 9th birthday......how can I tell her that I have a club race to go to?
See you the end of February for the Zone 1 thing.....

VIR is far superior to LRP. It is also much tougher to get right. Start practicing on iRacing and you will at least know the basics.

VIR is an equal to LRP at best.

Without getting into the discussion of which track is better........

Looking at the schedule I might just make the Zone 2 VIR DE March 12-14, but I should probably sign up in the instructed group and get one of the club racers as my instructor.....how about that as a strategy?

I'll be instructing there, so, if interested let me know. I can be bought with biscuits and pulled pork. (Best track food anywhere)

I'd go with Mid-Ohio over VIR. The problem with the VIR race is that it is run at a brutally hot time of year.

I don't mind the heat, I will just add extra ice to my cool suit.....
I just want to experience an awesome track.......which I am sure Mid-Ohio is also......but a bit too close to the WGI race......

I know exactly what I am doing, you don't think I would show you the RIGHT line before the race? Seriously, VIR is SO much fun it would be a ball sharing it with you.

Paolo,
Although VIR is widely considered among the nicest in the country, you don't have to go that far to race in April. As nice as it would be down there, you could run NASA/Lightning and save 8-10 hours tow (round). Besides, you only raced PCA last year and perhaps it's time to branch out a bit?
