BKS is no redneck. Come on Ted. How about the mullets in CMC and AI?
Eddie, you are sick and I love it.
Paolo, If you can swing it, take up Scott Leopold's offer to drive one of his Spec Boxsters. Both TedA and I have driven them. Very neutral and comfortable. You will be able to focus on learning the track. The line in your 911 will be slightly different - later turn-ins and later apexes. Kenny, Werkstatt's lead mechanic/engineer is top notch. He builds some of the best cages I have seen.

Paolo:
You have to find a way to fit VIR in this year. We had 9 cars in F last year. It's a blast. Hopefully this year the group break will be A-F, not A-E like last year. Check out Brian P's video. Keep a particular eye on the red F class widebody 911 driven by Doug Roach. He's very fast around VIR.

As per your original question my suggestion is to do the test and tune on Thursday prior to the race weekend. One full day + practice day should be more than enough to learn the track and get to race speed if you work with someone on looking at your data from those 2 days.

Nice lap. One small suggestion: you hold 4th gear thru the climbing esses, but being that high in the RPM range forces you to use maintenance throttle for at least the second half of that section. Going to 5th gear will allow you to use a lot more throttle thru there. Could be worth a full second....

FredC,
I wish. That is a friends engine he had built for his 3.0 RSR clone. Going to be a gorgeous Penske/Sunoco look-alike. Those are not carbs. They are high butterflies for MFI. The manifolds cost about $13k. Gorgeous.
