TDI is going to seem very strange at 1st, diesel and FWD... good thing is we all use the same setup!

The other oddity about the TDI is the transmission - it will override a downshift request when necessary based on rpm's (and possibly other factors), since iRacing built it to act like the real thing. So unlike other cars in iRacing, telling the car to downshift doesn't mean that it will actually happen.

Yeah, found that out quick in T1 at Summit! I think it finally shifted right about the second time I rolled over..

Fun cars to race, thanks Kevin! I had a good run with your brother (?) for several laps, then with you for a couple near the end. Saved the replay and I just hooked my right rear on the grass entering T3 and it sent me sideways. Then I was reaching over to push my talk button to answer you and I drove straight off T4 into the tires! Managed to finish but sh was a handfull after that. Good stuff.

Yes, it was a fun race. You were nose to tail with my father for a while, I was watching from a few seconds behind. I was racing with a banged up car for most of the race but is was still a ton of fun.

This week’s race:

Date: Wednesday 3.3.10

Practice: 7:30 pm EST

Qualifying: 8:30 pm EST

Race: 9:00 pm EST

Track: Homestead Miami Road Course B (the same configuration Grand Am is running this weekend)

Car: VW TDI Cup

Password: 944S2

Last week was lots of fun in the Jetta so why not stick with it! Next week I think we will be going to Holland . . . .
