Since the Rolex 24 is next weekend I thought we would do something very creative and run the DP at Daytona this week

Car: Riley DP

Track: Daytona Road Course

Practice: 7:30 pm EST

Qualifying: 8:30 pm EST

Race: 9:00 pm EST

Don't forget that iRacing is hosting a Rolex 2.4 hour race on Saturday before the real race. Open to anyone, regardless of license level. Racing the DP at Daytona.

Good race last night - I had fun trading spins with Kevin and Sean!

I think that I finally got the track figured out a few laps from the end, and was just starting to get comfortable pushing it as the laps were winding down.

Thanks to Kevin for hosting - I hope you guys are having fun in Florida! Sorry to hear about the 99, though - I hope the team is able to get the repairs made. Good luck!

This week’s race will be at Daytona in the COT. Yes, we are running a circle track! Hope you can make it.

Date: Wednesday 2.10.10

Practice: 7:30 pm EST

Qualifying: 8:50 pm EST This will not be an open session. You will get four laps(I think) to lay down a quick lap, no other cars will show on track.

Race: 9:00 pm EST

Track: Daytona

Car: Chevy Impala (Class A)

If you haven’t run this car at Daytona yet, it is important to join the practice session. It is easy to run flat out around the track by yourself. It is another thing to draft in a pack with your car skipping all over the place due to the bumps.

Is that the Impala SS Kev? I think it will be a hoot, especially if you can get 30+ guys to run!

Running a drafting pack is FUN. Daytona is hard to run double file thanks to the bumps but you always have a good run on the guy in front of you from the draft. You get a new bit of respect for the circle trackers after a good draft pack session.

That and I HAD to turn down the force feedback, it was KILLING me! Maybe for that race he should run no password to fill the grid, just be sure all his regulars log in as soon as it opens. Too bad you can't "reserve" spots like in a lot of mega-multiplayer online games.

Bought the car and track this afternoon. Are their "no brainer" adjustments that should be made to these cars? Not asking for super secret stuff....

John, when you get online just ask for someone to share their setup and it will be in your "Shared Setups" (look there 1st, may be some in there) for you to try..
