I would have liked him to say what the next guy after him said when he caught him self whining.
"this is great for Brumous and Porsche and historically a good win for both of them"
I like JPM and was just disappointed thats all. Like I said David Hobbs said the same thing.

He is from the otherside and Brumos really has been an also ran until today .....
Montoya is 34 and raced in the states for 2 yrs before coming back to nascar
from Europe. His first Sportscar drive is in that DP car , you expect him to understand Donahue and his daddy and why it was so sportscar touchie Feely good for everybody today ......
It was not a big deal to him or else he would have punched someone and stormed off

Pruett may be arrogant and drives as hard as anyone, but the guy can flat out drive and has put up results at EVERY level he has competed in.
For someone who is "good, but not that good" as you say he sure has some hardware to say otherwise.

87 Trans AM Champion
88 IMSA GTO Champion
94 TransAm title
2003 TransAm title

But this time you actually are wrong.

Sorry I actually judge drivers by watching them, seeing how they drive the car, how much it's working, how smooth they are, how fast they are, how clean/dirty they are, how they read traffic, how they conduct themselves during interviews, and off track. I don't just rank drivers simply on their PAST resumes, rides, and what the announcers tell me. There have been many mediocre drivers (not saying Pruett is mediocre) who have extensive and impressive resumes, but it's simply because they knew how to smooze a team owner and were in the right place at the right time, locked themselves into one ride in one series forever, etc...... I'll never forget watching glory boy CART driver Pruett, during a Trans Am race, all on his own in the lead, slide off, and get stuck in the mud on the left hander at LRP. The dejected look as he got out of the car was priceless .

Exactly, are you the first guy in this thread to give JP a little credit for that at least?
I was just waiting for JP or Max the Axe to pound into one of those turns.
Most of all congrats to Porsche for the 2 class sweep and Brumos, especially Hurley and David!
Must be really rewarding and they can savor it for several weeks now.....
