Possible Glen 2009 Race Format
Good Morning All,
For those who may have missed then end of the MOPCA race format thread, I decided to initiate my own....
Since 2001 we have tried to make the Zone One club race at the Glen enjoyable for the entrants. For years we were harnessed with the "Spectator" label which made entry thru the gates a challange. Over the past few years we have addressed and minimized that issue.
With the help of the PCA Club Race National organization, we were able to offer our entrants a two sprint race format in a four race group environment. This schedule of eight sprint races on Saturday with 3 enduros on Sunday has been a successful addition to our program...
Now I want to try something different again....Eight sprints on Saturday and eight sprints on Sunday..NO ENDUROS. Each race group will have two sprints each day and to make things more interesting, my side-kick suggested a point system would be an workable method to decide the Sprint Race Class winner....so a points system will be used for each race and the highest point total for three of the four sprints will be used to determine the Glen 2009 Class winners and podium finishers..
I have typed enough and now welcome all comments...

Ouch...Bob...you beat me to it. As the Grand AM steward told the driver's at NJMP in August.." If you do like the dust, stay on the F***ing Track". The "Blue Bushes" only come into play when you run out of talent...
I can not move the Bushes...The best out of four format, lets some leave on Sunday ,if necessary, for travel arrangements..

I look forward to the Enduro, howver, racing is racing and WGI is a great one. Maybe we can get rid of the prowannabees out of the exhibition classes, I wouldn't miss them or their driving...

I've been saying it for years; the problem at the Glen is those bushes!
As for the change in format, I always like the enduro, but would be willing to try this new format, of course. And I agree that a 3 out of 4 makes sense.
