I can tell you that you shouldn't straddle that curb...either go 4 over in a fairly quick manner or don't go over it at all. That curb is high enough to do some major damage to the underside of some cars if you try to straddle it.

Umhhhhh..... hitting the grass after going over the curbing at track out of turn 1 would have ended my whole event.....

I am quite sure of that........

Excellent point Bryan......

I lucked out by having my right wheels riding at the highest portion of the curbing and thus no underside damage, but I can definetly see how damage could happen.....

You must not have been listening at the driver's meeting when we discussed T1 and 4 off. When it comes to defining the rules, our Region follows the recommendations of the Watkins Glen track management and are consistent with the other PCA Regions that run there.

I think the point that you are missing is that you were driving over your ability, the first session of the first day, immediately after being signed off by the Region chief instructor to run in the advanced group. Not a good way to start off an event.

My sincere apologies to you, the HVR region and any advanced drivers I might have caused anxiety for......

Paulo my friend, suggest you were best off when you closed the thread. These is a saying in the UK that suggest you stop digging your own grave when you are already 6 feet under

I think this is probably the smartest things said in the thread. Both of your mistakes were able to be corrected far before the time you did. If you are not able to recognize that you have made a mistake until you go off roading, you are going to have an expensive hobby...

This was not a save? What is a save then? When the car ends up in the armco?
