It is a shame this thread has turned into a pissing match. I imagine if we were all at the bar at Siebkens having a beer this discussion would be much more enjoyable.

I am posting a video from Sprint One at the Putnam Park PCA club race in 2006.
I am driving a 1979 911 SC and running in F as prepared. I finished 3rd behind Hupfer and Grigsby. This is a clip of me attempting to get by a GT5 914 that I am lapping.

The clip is an example of a guy that you are lapping racing you. I rarely have issues with slower cars that are driven well, it is usually the guy that should be as fast or faster than you, but is not.

Here is the video. The audio is muted in one portion of the video, becuase I start rambling on about how much I would like to give this guy an hug and a kiss after the race .

After this thread, I have decided that I am going to plaster a big sticker across the back of my car before the Watkins Glen Club Race that says "Be Nice Bob"

Bob is right on the money and Doug's video brings home the point.

Video does not appear to work.

What does it show? A lapped drover being an *******? Does Doug punt him?

LMAO... no punting but i wouldn't shed a tear if it occurred in this case. it's not ok to do that even on the same lap when it's two different classes dukin' it out, but here there wasn't even an occasion from another guy from the SAME CLASS to take advantage of letting up for faster traffic. the guy was a douche and if it wasn't for doug's reflexes they both would've finished early...

i only wish the mike was on for the entire verbal flurry

i still can't believe people pull that ****. you can't even use the 'i didn't know' line here... by racetime you just *know* from warm up and qual who's in your group and who isn't.

it's one of the times that you wish you had a right-hand-drive car so you could reach out and pull his kill switch, or better yet, extinguisher when passing by.
