Sorry, I don't have any of that info. I have never timed a single lap in my cars. I'm just a recreational DE putz.
The comment was based on driving together at LRP and WGI, along with another Euro Cup. It's a blue 93 Firehawk 968, Mobil graphics IIRC, his name is Joe, nice guy.
IIRC, he posted not too long ago about advice on a suit, as he is thinking of going PCA Club Racing.

I agree w/ the above esteemed posters about using street tires for at least the first 10 sessions if not the whole year.
The problem w/ the CS is the tire diameter and the lack of tire choices. Friends of mine (instructors) are running MPSC as a track tire.

I don't want to start a flame here but I firmly believe the 944 platform (particularly in the S2 variant) when properly set up is a very crisp handeling car. And yes I have driven 996's & 997's on the track. Both are fine but I certainly feel that *** hanging out there. Eventually I'll probably get a GT3 or maybe even a track Cayman if they ever come out with a Clubsport version (not holding my breath)

It was reccomended to me when I asked this same question 2 years ago to get a lower HP car and learn to drive it to its capacity. Well I'm not there yet but there is a certain satisfaction in passing somebody with 100+ HP more than you because you know it's not what's under the hood. For me it was one of the best decisions I've made in this regard. Also, like posted above after getting the car sorted out it has been pretty bulletproof and reliable.

Pagid rs19 for pads and motul 600 for fluid. hms motorsport in peabody carry the motul. i usually buy pads from *********.com

with 30+ planned trackdays you might want to consider racing seats/harness/hans.

That's interesting, as I thought the Firehawk had about the same hp/weight as a 964 Cup.

Just as a point of clarification my 968 is at a distinct disadvantage to the Euro Cup cars with the weight/hp ratio. The 968 Firehawks have about 245hp and weigh over 2500lbs. They are classified as E-class for PCA club racing and must weight 2900, which is what mine weighs.

Although Mr Scotto has never seen me I have experienced the wirath of his Euro Cup whirling by me at WG and LR on multiple occasions. This is a result of far superior driving skills and a faster car.

Although I'm in the minority, the 944 and 968 cars provide great "Bang For The Buck". I went from a 993 to the 968 and have no regrets!

The reason why I know about you is a good friend of mine has a Euro Cup car and he's pointed your Tag Heur car out to me. I have attempted to follow you at
WG and LR to learn a bit but did not last long.
