I have been told the FGT market is closer to low $200's for regular color cars with more than 1,000 miles.

Yup. That's what I've seen, as well.

The real market.

not exactly a surprise, trust me the same people listing them for sale at 700k+ are the same people that go on these boards and try and get everybody jazzed up saying its a million $ car tomorrow etc etc...

its like a stock...a stock can trade 50 million shares during the course of the day between $40-$43 and maybe pre market or post market 2,000 shares at $35 on some headline where somebody put in a pre market sell order with no limit or maybe trade 3,000 shares at $50 pre market on some headline etc..
so in the case above yes somebody did really buy or sell a few shares at $35 or at $50 , but is that the real market where a realistic buyer or seller could likely transact... no...
the "real" market for CGT over past 6 months has been 475-640k maybe a few slightly higher.. anything at 700k + have been few and far between think pre market trading... could it be a the real market at some point in the future ? sure it could, but it is certainly not a real market today... so of course there are lots of cars listed at 800, 900k etc etc...not a surprised that many would sell at 900k when its 200-300k above market, what car would not have many sellers at any given time at a 30% premium to current market prices ? common sense not rocket science here

oh and wait a few more months we will start seeing all the 918 pop up not not sell at 1.3mln type numbers...

Be that as it may, but just received confirmation that a Basalt Black CGT just traded hands for $822K -- real sale price, no mumbo jumbo.

One needs to get their "market" prices from a reliable source, not conjecture.

has anyone on here bought a CGT in the past 6 months? Seems like most of these CGT's are moving from dealer to dealer.

There was someone considering selling Silver / Blk 8k miles multi owner will need a clutch soon received bids 650 - 675 and decided not to sell.

Active dealer here paid 700's blk low miles - sold fast guessing 750 - 775.

The 5's are gone the 6's are going if not gone asking is 7 8 9+. Eventually the low fruit will be gone and less will be available.

The CGT was ridiculously under valued - there is nothing else in it's league within 500k.

Ford GT - interesting but I don't think it's in the CGT class.

We have 10 or 11 cars for sale in the UK currently whereas 8 or 9 months ago at any one time there were only 1 or 2 for sale.

Prices are from £475 to 650.

They don't appear to be selling at this price point. Many have been listed for months, up to 7 or 8 months.

US buyers are willing to pay more for low miles and color - that combination or lack thereof reflects the price.

Let's face it - a real seller and a real buyer will determine market. I have read a ridiculous amount of posts where the seller nor the buyer are realistic.

No one needs to buy or sell a CGT - but when a fair priced based on the condition hits the market by a Porsche dealer it sells immediately.

out of curiosity, how much would a very low mileage CGT cost? like if it was 400miles and not used for 10 years? private seller to private buyer prices?

Only a few of them are worth buying.

Mine is hitting the market in a month.
