I forget but does this model take the SATA 3 2.5" disks?

Then indeed this could be a very simple solution, thank you! I can't remember whether it's the Panasonic or the Lenovo that takes the M.2 SSDs.

OK a dark day indeed... one has gone over to the "dark side" and bought Ferdinand's suggestion. It will join my other Windows XP PC well quarantined ensuring it or they don't pass on any COVID germs to the plethora of MACs gently grazing around the house

...and the Lenovo Yoga S1 does support SATA 3 2.5" drives. As soon as I receive Alex's SSD I'll swap the one in there out and be able to start. Wasn't this exciting?

Thank you all!

Gents using PIWIS III clone (Purchased mine from Belauoto),

do you have date issues when reseting service intervals? I have to back date computer clock to 2020 for head unit to work. When I reset a service interval it uses 2020 as the starting timeframe. This only gives my date stamp a short run.

Is there a work around??

Someone posted that after you have a connection with the VCD you may return the system date to the current date and the unit stays corrected and dates for battery change and service intervals will be correct. I have not tried this yet.

I can confirm, after the VCI connects and recognizes your car, go back to Date and Time and reset to current. Piwis will then be running with current date
I keep the task bar on at the bottom, so I can access Control Panel etc

Best,
JB

Do not forget, you need to connect a clean power source, engine not running(ignition on of course) minimum 40 amps(997) 55 amps for newer, 75 or 100 amps for latest cars would probably be best-

John, I assume the PowerMax 75A is OK for LiFePO4 batteries? As it seems most are folks with AGM ones.

Yes, I used with the cayenne and the factory engineer confirmed it's compatible

It came with it, the less I need to think, the better.

👍

Mine didn't. 4 gauge should fit and be OK.

Just buy some jumper cables, cut one side and that's it

That's what I was planning; just making sure the cut end will fit into the PowerMax.

Which is why I asked about the gauge of the wire to crimp it.
