I have got my VMware image working and a clone VAS6154 v1.6.4.1, but I cannot make them talk to each other, The tester app gets stuck on PDUMODULECONNECT. The Allscanner application can connect to the 6154 fine. Has anyone got any ideas?
EDIT: I have set the date to 2020 and the license appears as valid in the Allscanner app. Thanks for any help!

I just received my Powermax PM3 55 Amp power supply-I've been reading about it, and the question now is what voltage to set it to-I set the fixed voltage to 13.5 for now, but I've read about 13.8 and 14.5 volts and my thinking is perhaps 13.5 is probably a good setting. My GT3 is usually on the Ctek 7002 maintainer, and fully charged- the car is not a daily driver.
The Porsche Service Manual for 997 specifically says to use a source 40A and above, but mentions that voltage should not drop below 12.5 volts. I didn't see a specified voltage to set to, just as long as it doesn't go below 12.5.
The recommended current for 991s, 992s, Panamera, Cayenne, Macan seems to be closer to 75 or 100 Amps.
And there's a lot more discussion in the BMW groups, and the figures are either 13.5, 13.8 or 14.5 volts as far as I can recall.
But if I'm not doing a major thing like replacing a PCM or upgrading Navigation maps (that takes about 4 hours) I might leave the Powermax set to 3 stage charging then. One thing I thought of coding should be simple-most 911 passenger windows only go up or down automatically from the half way point(probably to protect children) and it can be coded to work like the driver's side. It shouldn't take long at all.
I have the large Bosch full size battery, AGM, about 900 CCA
So I think I'll set the fixed voltage at 13.5, after which the Ctek 7002 will be reconnected to maintain. But the thought that comes to mind is that I think I've read that AGM batteries usually are set to charge above 14V(?)
Any thoughts appreciated![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)

so, guys, just downloaded the 38.25 and 38.900 image.
what do I do with the *.tibx file? it's an Acronis True Image file, but do I recover it to bootcamp on a mac or restore it to a portable HD?
thx

It’s your choice, provided Acronis can restore to a bootcamp partition. You can also restore it to a VM. Whatever route you take, download the Acronis restore software from their web site. The version you got with the images, if they came from where I think they came from, may not be in English, may not be current, and might be hacked.

ah, I see.
I've been trying to convert it to a VM using the acronis true image software, but Acronis will only convert it to a *.vhdx file and that's not recognized by VMware or parallels
I'll try to restore it to a virtual disk created by the VM?

- Create a VM with the appropriate sized hard drive (256MB usually works). Make it a Windows VM, 8GB of RAM.
- Tell the VM to connect the CD-ROM to the Acronis *.iso
- Boot the VM (which should boot from the CD-ROM
- Use the Acronis software that loads from the ISO to restore the image to the VM's hard drive (which will create at least 3 partitions on the virtual hard drive)
- Once the image is loaded, disconnect the virtual CD-ROM and reboot. If all goes well, then you'll boot into PIWIS.
- Here's what I do to a 38.2 image that I have if I load it as a VM. If you don't understand these steps, google is your friend (or you may not want to go the VM route). The only required steps will be VMware tools install and Keygen. Everything else is personal preference (I like everything in English, for example, which requires a lot of clicks to get all the settings):
- Delete all Dell SupportAssist (don't worry about touchpad drivers, yet)
- Delete displaylink drivers core, accept the prompts for removing the other stuff, too. restart as directed.
- Change language via Control Panel, change options, copy settings to new users, etc. (use Google Translate if needed)
- Ensure drive letters are C:SYSTEM, D:APPS, and E
ATA - PIWIS will not work properly without doing this step
- Install VMWare Tools. May need to download and manually install 11.0.6 due to .net versions (copy *.zip over, extract iso, extract iso to desktop, run setup.exe). Looks like it takes a couple reboots as the tools seem to upgrade themselves at least twice
- Fix timeszone
- Set date back to 1/1/2020
- Run the Windows activator
- Switch away from small toolbar icons in order to see system date and time
- Stop the window auto resizing (Control Panel, Ease of Access, Mouse stuff)
- Run Keygen (make sure date is back to 1/1/2020)
