Besides, belauto will go the other route, but you won't get whatever it is you want to buy from him until he gets paid. That means, you wait 14 days for him to get the PayPal money, and you sit for 14 days wondering where your software is.

Meh I’m not a big friends and family PayPal person. I’d rather pay the processing fee. Read through the forum on beleauto there’s a handful of people that claimed he ripped them off. I’m not sure what’s the truth but it was a red flag for me. Shoot me a PM and maybe I can help point you in a better direction (not paid or looking for anything, just a good Rennlister)

there is always a choice, there are sellers on MHHauto, but they resell belauto software. If VAS6154 falls off, then I think only belauto will be able to configure it

The beginning was on mhhauto, where we downloaded the free version 38.4 for VMware. With this version, we messed up our client's car
Friends, use the good versions PIWIS for your car. Believe me, there are differences

Coupe of things:
1.6.6 vas adaptor work and license doesn't expire until 2030 so those are best version to get.
Has anyone successful got piwis working with vas adaptor over WiFi with 1.6.4 vas? I can't get it working even thou it works flawlessly on my 1.6.6 version.
Another thing when running VAL it gets half way through then progress bar stops and doesn't move any further along. Left it like 10-15 minutes.

we had to buy a version 38.2 and a genuine PT3G from him, a separate story, but he helped us a lot by restoring the dashboard and BCM1 on the Panamera 971 . One of the blocks was programmed online via PPN. This necessarily requires a genuine PT3G VCI

Yes I imagine that is true for any programming work. But for general diagnostics I can't see it causing issues as it's essentially a read only operation until you clear faults which again isn't invasive or likely to cause a issue if you lost WiFi signal.

By the way coming from the Audi world, I tried VCDS - the majority of coding works just fine, adaptations too. Some pretty speciffic things require PIWIS but for simple error handling / coding you can use it too.
