So set the Windows/PC time back to normal after connecting?

Correct your date after Piwis has made a connection to your car and it will work fine as the VCX license date seems to be only checked once when connecting initially.
Is this the correct procedure to reset a service interval indicator with an expire 2020 license?
  1. Set Computer time to pre-2020
  2. open PIWIS III
  3. Click Diagnosis
  4. After it connects to the car
  5. Set computer to current date
  6. Go back to PIWIS III and perform service interval reset under Instrument Cluster

Made a small, nit-picky, correction.

There's a separate thread on high current power supplies/chargers, but since this seems to be the most active Piwis thread, I'll post here. I was gonna go the DIY route with a very affordable power supply but decided to get the Powermax PM3-55LK.

Here's the computer power DIY-there are a few variations on it, some guys got pretty clever putting it inside a pelican case, etc.
It might also start a fire, first thing my dad would have said
For my 997.2 GT3 and Audi S3 I think it was better to get what I got
https://www.batterystuff.com/power-s...pm3-55-lk.html

I'd say for cars like 991s. 992s, Suvs and newer Porsches the 75 or 100 amp might be needed

Best,
John

This variant of the same supply comes with a digital voltage readout and 15ft alligator clamps, but definitely costs more.

Yeah they charge almost $100 for alligator clamps and a digital volt meter
I already have them so the PM3-55LK was suitable
A lot of the newer cars have a built in the dash digital volt meter/battery management system

BMW requires 100 amps for some cars

What a car reports on the dash is important, but that is most definitely not a measurement of what your power supply is putting out. You're good to go with your volt meter, of course, but my power supply (and my volt meter) read 14.4V at the power supply, while my dash reads 13.2V with the car turned on (all lights off that I can cut off, no music, no HVAC, no bun warmers, etc.).

The beginning was on mhhauto, where we downloaded the free version 38.4 for VMware. With this version, we messed up our client's car
Friends, use the good versions PIWIS for your car. Believe me, there are differences
So belauto is the best to help?

mine shows 6154 v5.1.6, that does not seem to correspond to the firmware that you guys are referencing. I wonder which one I received.

You might have to return the one you bought, I don't think you can use that one because of the firmware.

The other vendor seems to have updated his to the 1.6.6 firmware version recently:
