Question for the group, for which I'm afraid I won't like the answer.
I have been successfully using the PIWIS 3, v3.7xxx for coding a cayenne MY20, my deceased 992 (20) and a Spyder 23.
I cannot load the BCM module at all (I want to code the dashboard and possibly sport exhaust) on a panamera 4S MY21. I suspect that the version I'm using is not seeing it, perhaps due to a hardware update for that specific module. Anyone with similar experience?

I wish there was a way to upgrade the firmware on my VCI, the 2020 date change before using PIWIS is a bit of an irritant. I haven't searched further into why it can't be upgraded to 1.6.6 but I suppose the only upgrade is to throw it away and buy a 1.6.6 ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Either way, I remember watching in real time as the ebay vendor I got mine from started raising his price as more people were buying![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
What's the current price on the new ones?
Thnx

Alas it does look like it, make a nice paper weight though. Last I looked it was about $120 bucks.

You probaby just need a newer version of PIWIS. 41.x is available and allows coding. Reach out to Don16. He can get you an image ($$) that you can load onto any Chinese clone (If you have a chinese clone, buy a separate hard drive and load his image onto that hard drive - trust me, your chinese clone laptop will boot it). Works fine with my VAS 6154 and my MY2021 Macan GTS running on my locked down Lenovo chinese clone PIWIS. Should also work fine with 2022 MY cars.

You don't need to go beyond 40.7 as anything beyond that is essentially for EVs. As I mentioned reach out to @rnlst_log as I can't remember what parameter needs to be set in order to allow for BCM etc coding.

They ask for your clone-serial# and give you an updated driver for the clone VCI. With this driver you have acces to there own database und the new licenses will be installed. After license install it can work with any version of PIWIS3 (patched and not patched for clone. VMware and PC installes) and ODIS. I had them successfully done mine within an hour for around $ 150 bucks a year ago.

If anyone gets this to work, and would produce a step by step instruction for those of us who are amateurs, it would be hugely appreciated! I'm not sure if there is a reluctance to post a DIY on this effort but I bet there is more than a few of us with crippled PDLS+ who would love to unlock it.
