Mine have been working fine. I have two of them. No flying off. Don't use your VAS6154 on your PIWIS while your PIWIS machine is connected to the internet. Or block VX Manager Center and the VCXPRC app from outbound comm via the software firewall running on the machine.

Block these apps on the outbound side of the software firewall:

• (if it exists) D:\PiwisApps\VCI\VCX\Manager\ManagerCenter.exe
• (if it exists) D:\PiwisApps\VCI\VCX\VCXRPC\VCXPRC.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\VCX\VCXPRC\VCXPRC.exe

Just wondering :
- if the computer date set to 2020 could have an impact on the car maintenance indicator reset, e.g. after an oil service, about the next service date?
- if it lets a wrong date in car computers when you make any action?

That is an irritant issue-someone addressed it in one of these Piwis threads, it might have been this one a few months ago. I haven't yet looked into it myself and have used Durametric in the past.

this is indeed an issue, but there‘s a workaround either:

Correct your date after Piwis has made a connection to your car and it will work fine as the VCX license date seems to be only checked once when connecting initially.

Here's the list of vendors I made in January 2021-prices and software versions probably changed quite a bit, so I'd search the sites after clicking on the links to see what their latest versions are now:
