Everyone is entitled to their opinion, great that they are happy with their gt350.
The gt350 is a good car, but to even compare it to a 991rs is IMO pretty silly.
The gt350 is a sledgehammer and the 991rs is a scalpel.
For those of you that have driven Nissan GT-R but not a gt350 they actually have a similar feel and size.
So I would compare the gt350 vs gtr and BMW m3/4. The gt350 wins in every department against those cars. Engine is better, MT is good, it's actually a very comfortable DD. High with good ground clearance, clutch is the only real negative, as much feel as a Ford Focus rental car.
Can't get more for $60k in today's car market.
But, personally I wouldn't even mention it in the same sentence as a 991gt3/RS.

The GT350 is a badass car with a masterpiece of an engine and a solid chassis and suspension. Great buy all around. 13,400 miles here and i'm still making excuses to drive it down the road. Car cocaine.
Here's a question - 997.1 GT3 or GT350 - which would you rather drive?

Sounds about right - i'd also say the Grandsport fits that 60k bargain segment pretty well too. I'm a fan of both - just wish the Stingray wasn't produced at 60,000+ units per year.

I have yet to answer that question.
Was lucky to buy 85golds 996gt3 that came with a lot of nice upgrades. I keep improving that car and use it mainly for DE events.
Hard to beat a well set up 996/997gt3 on track.

I think they are all great cars to drive and all have different personalities and character to offer. This is different than all out track times and performance.
The GT350R wouldn't see where a 991RS had gone on the track but I may enjoy driving the GT350R as much.
Case in point. I love driving my RS. It was a hoot this weekend and my friend with a 430 Scud was over the top impressed and giddy while we carved the back roads. Cherry on top was the multitude of "thumbs up" from other motorists and even a group on sport bikes. However, while my FGT and my Boss LS aren't up to the RS's level of track prowess they are great fun and entertaining to drive in their own right and both offer something different by way of character and driver involvement.
While the GT3 991.1 will be faster on the track than the R I would likely buy the R if I already had my RS and didn't have my Boss LS or FGT which as everyone knows are both MT and the FGT has no nannies. Likely the last of the nannyless super cars.
Its all good.

Not sure but probably nothing worth noting I was more interested in keeping my car on the track with the minimal tread left on my MPSS and a 6 hour drive home ahead of me with the wife.

My friend bought a '17 white 350 with comfort package.
I'm very happy for him. After driving Peters 350 I probably would have held off on buying the E63 and get the ford as a daily driver / backup track car... Its that good.
Its just such a good all around car. Not just a good track car.
I mean the fit and finish is terrible but I guess that's due to the unique body panels on the 350 compared by mass produced Ford cars.. Interior is OK, too cheap looking for a BMW - Audi - MB but that's why its only 57K..
The biggest surprise for me was just how good a car it is to drive.
Seating position, feel of the brakes, steering wheel, visibility, all that stuff is what you expect from a BMW M, Audi S or AMG Mercedes. Just very well done Ford!
Its just a very proper nice solid enjoyable car to daily drive, its not fake sporty its not to loud, harsh clunky in the name of being sporty, its just a solid all around car that happens to sound awesome and can hold its own dependably on track!
For the money, nothing comes close in performance but even just as a car in its won its great value. Too bad it only comes with 3 years warranty instead of 4 in terms of value.

I have good news for you on the warranty - Ford is now offering 7 year / 75k and even 100k options for warranty on the GT350. This was not available at launch or when I picked mine up last year but customers can opt in now if they like and if they sell prior to warranty expiration they can be pro-rated back money left on the table. I'm probably going to opt for the extended one shortly and not worry how many miles I dump on this car - i'll be covered.
