It means the GT350 is one of the greatest icons in automotive history - another reason it sits next to my Porsche 911.

It's pure car cocaine - pull the resonators when you get a chance so you can hear the true flat plane sound.

Congratulations.
How miles for the break in do you think? I had 6 hours and 160 miles (I think?) with mine and won't be back there until thanksgiving week. Next time i need to rev past 4,500 rpm.

I'm not sure. A good reason for me to swing by Sebring and check out the new RSR. I'll try to keep it below 4500 for 1000miles. Oil change and then gradually take it to redline.
Doing Sebring the 5th with chin but need to test a few upgrades on my 996gt3. Brought a CAE shifter from Germany and going solid engine and trans mounts.
Will have both the gt3 and the gt350 at Road Atlanta for thanksgiving.

My neighbors would love that. I'm already in trouble with the 996gt3 cup exhaust!

You think that could have something to do with how much inventory was initially ordered by dealers as they were trying to hoard and sell above market pric you think that could have something to do with how much inventory was initially ordered by dealers as they were trying to hoard and sell above msrp. So the company is charged production thinking that demand was real?

Don't sweat it - you've got a button to turn it all off (normal mode) - the silence of that mode is not affected one bit - (this impressed the wife who constantly reminds me no sport mode until I leave the neighborhood haha)

Ok, thanks! As long as quiet mode for DD is not affected I'll do it.

Hype & demand is real... outright commitment to buy one may have subsided since summer due to the ridiculous markups. A few K over- I can see more than some willing to take that plunge.... but for 10k, 15k or 20k+ over it's just too greedy and absurd IMO for dealers to do this to serious potential buyers. This is still a weight-burdened Mustang in the end.... sounds amazing, superbly fun to drive and performs well for its heft but asking to pay way above sticker will turn off/deter many in the market for one.

I'm one of those that was extremely interested and in the market a year ago but now have zero interest because of the tactics. I can understand the ADM nonsense for the first 6-12 months or so but when you intentionally cripple supply to try and keep this silly inflated ADM trend afloat for your dealers you're simply giving me more time to shop for and decide on alternatives. The car is entering its third year of production and it's still common place for dealers out of touch with the current market to be asking for these ridiculous ADM's. The early adopters and suckers have all lined up and made their purchases. Time to wake up and sell to those that actually remain in line.

I get the fact you are all gushy over the GT350 but let's not get carried away. This new car has as much in common with a "GT350" as kumquat has with a watermelon. It has 0 Shelby pedigree except for the licensed use of a dead mans name. Further Shelby's, except vintage models have had resales that have sunk faster than anchors especially for those paying stealer ship ADMs.

The ZL1 and Z28 also have historical significance and are great name plates. In fact I could convincingly make the case they have more pedigree than the new Shelby's as does the '12-'13 Boss.

New GT350 is a great track attack car. Let's not imbue with pedigree that is not there and inherent value not shown in contemporary resales.

Pedigree notwithstanding, GT350, Z06, Grand Sport, ZL1, and Z28 are all great USA additions to the available track weapon arsenal. Let them compete towards (higher) performance and (lower) prices. The more the merrier!
