I am not sure if the reference data is a simple repeat of an old specification sheet or just a mixup. But I found this interesting when I looked up Vehicle coverage using the Link found on the Amazon site for the X-431 Pro Mini.
I looked up Porsche coverage it shows Macan coverage only up to 2017 ---and does not list the Macan under Battery Reset.
I do not know if Battery Reset is the same as battery registration.

There seems indeed a lot of FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt) going around with different distributors stating different things not to mention some append an "S" to x431 proS Mini whilst other claim that they have the real deal selling the x431 Pro Mini. Some are WiFi enabled others not.
I'm trusting @Dollarlongnecks based on the examples he gave and fellow Porsche owner. As for terminology of Battery Regisstration vs Reset, I don't know maybe @Dollarlongnecks can stick his out and let us know? :-)
I'll keep you folks posted

Mine was shipped by Amazon from VanTool. I'll let you know when I receive it f there are any glitches like with registration etc.
Mark, that's the whole purpose of this forum is to share knowledge. I'll post as I make headway, and hopefully it won't be too different from Audi/VDub

This tool works on the 2020 Macan S (mine was built 14 Sept 2019, delivered 20 Dec 2019 - takes a while to get from Germany to Australia), I just proved it.
I purchased the Pro Mini off Ebay:https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LAUNCH-X...72.m2749.l2649
This is totally legit as per dollarlongnecks info - Mine came in a retail package with all the paperwork, part number/specific registration code, etc. via DHL in 2 days & over the Christmas/new year break as well. I was able to register with the main company and I have 2 years of free updates...
I've actually updated the vehicle manufacturers software twice, so launch are obviously active in keeping up with new vehicle changes
Followed the instructions in the thread below & reset the indicators to 5 flashes:
https://rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-...l#post16096229
This software is much more user friendly than VCDS, Durametric Pro, BMW Software (ISTA-P, NCS, BMW Standard Tools) which I have.
Here's a video showing differences between Pro Mini/Pro Mini S/Daigun IV/V & V+ as seems some are interested. Summarizes it nicely:
BTW, I tested the software on Kia Cerato(Forte5), Rio & Australian Holden Astra BK as well as the Porsche, & works perfectly on these brands as well.
There's plenty to explore here.
If anyone is interested in stop/start permanent disablement, the Kufatech works (did this before I came across the Launch product):

Thanx so much for this! Is the Mini Pro able to disable start/stop? Got friend with an 18 Q7 that woudl really really really like to kill that "feature"
Where are you from in Ozzieland? Went down there 3 years ago for a Touareg muster. I thought I had a respectable number of mods in my vehicle... left with 2 pages worth of must change... incredible country and if you'd only drive on the other side I'd consider it

We're talking about tapping the indicator to overtake a vehicle. By default it's 3 blinks (VDubs, Audis etc.). My wife couldn't overtake a tricycle in 3 blinks ergo need to increase the blinks/time the blinks are active.

I used the Kufatech before I became aware of the Launch (wasn't going in PIWIS direction for obvious reasons) - as an engineer I have always had an issue with stop/start benefits (fuel economy) vs detriments (longevity of battery/starter). If Kufatech can do it with a dongle I'm sure the launch will (I'll have to look at a range of config settings to work it out - did it no problem with BMW's, Audi's & VW's).
3-5 flashes has just been on of those "irritants" I've always had. When a stock Kia worth 20% of the Porsche has this as a selectable dashboard option is another reason...
On Australian roads it's worthwhile. I'm in Brisbane, capital of the sunshine state (Queensland).
This was just a test of coding viability after running a scan & clearing the faults left by Porsche.......
I new this would be a simple one to prove concept given Macan lineage.
