After about 200 miles of all types of driving the grind seemed to have disappeared.

Rant over.
Late to this particular party, but noodling about moving from current 6 GT3 to 7 GT3 or GT4.

Cheers

I have never had an issue with the new transmission. Its actually been quite an amazing gearbox in my experience. I would also never tell someone to avoid a GT4 because of the transmission. In fact the gearbox is what I love most about the car. People will complain about the ratios, but I think much of it is overblown. I think many times people are just looking for reasons to mod. Could they have made changes with the new 718? Sure, but that is the case with any car.

I agree its an amazing transmission. For sure the best one I have ever shifted. It was a major factor for me choosing this car.

Dealer ordered the transmission and will notify me after it arrives for the big surgery day maybe I can sue them if the new transmission is worse when I never had issues to begin with

I have concentrated an awful lot of making sure that I really push the clutch down when shifting into 2nd, along with pulling the gear lever over towards the left of the gate when shifting.

This, seems to have "fixed" my 1st to 2nd grind for now.

My replacement feels great. Nice and stiff like new but no grind. Clutch came back squeaky at first but they lubricated the slave cylinder and now it’s pretty good.

Just got my transmission installed. It only took 1 day! Transmission feels smooth and neat. No grinding like some have reported, but will have to keep driving to see.

Make me want to get headers....

anyways, they printed the wrong invoice initially and had the freight cost on it. Over $1400 just for the freight... Porsche is paying a lot for this recall....

Pretty sure their supplier is picking up the bill.

The alignment is part of the service given that it is required anytime that the trans-whatever is removed.
My transmission replacement took 2 days.

Picking up the car today they wouldn’t align the car to my specs instead they are aligning the car to whatever god forsaken ‘factory specs’ mandated to be

Thats bogus. Why would it matter to align it to "factory spec" vs what the customer wants. Really not understanding some dealers. My dealer wrote down the spec and made sure the mechanic aligned it correctly.

Also did someone post it anything before about the transmission warranty? Is the transmission warrantied beyond the 4/50k standard now?

Car drives really well but now the dealership knows how stock the car is...
