Any feedback on the AR-1s? How do you compare them to the MPSC2s?
The biggest difference between MPSC and AR-1 is the road noise on these tires. When I first mounted the AR-1, I thought I have a failed wheel bearing. Yes, it's so god damned loud.
AR-1 is very consistent, and doesn't get overheat as fast as MPSC when pushed to the max limit. It does need a little longer time to heat up the tires ( maybe the weather was too windy and not too warm ) that could play a role on it.
Price wise, AR-1 > MPSC.
Paid $1450 including shipping for 4 tires. MPSC is around $1600 depends on where you live I assume from TireRack.
Thanks! It's a VBOX from NCM. I just got home and posted this video.
Andy Pilgram the Pro did the 2:13.56 "best lap' on Vbox. I got a lesson from him today.
Yeah. I just got the Garmin Catalyst. Game changer. Can't export videos with overlay yet, but the rest of it is incredible. 4k UHD, real-time Bluetooth verbal coaching, crazy-good AI "optimal" lap video side by side your actual lap, etc.
Download Virb edit from Garmin's site. It will allow you to put overlays on your catalyst video.

You need to come to SCCA Time Trial nationals at NCM in June. You'd do great. Plus I'm the only GT4 in a sea of Corvettes and Camaros.
i just registered for SCCA at NCM in June. Tuner 1, since I have camber plates.
Awesome. I'll be in the chalk GT4 in S1. Let me know if you have any questions. This will be my 4th year at Nationals, first time in the GT4. You should do great in T1. It's a lot of fun, and we will have to go grab a beer.
Nice, yes a beer sounds great. It's looks like a blast. Now I just need to find a good 200TW tire. You have any recommendations for a 19in wheel on gt4?

I've got a left over set of Bridgestone RE71R's that I'm going to be running.
I think the other options are in no particular order:
Goodyear Supercar 3
Falken RT660
Yokohama A052
I've tried the Supercar 3 and like them as a track tire
Yokohama seem to be the fastest, but people say they wear out very quickly, and handle oddly
Falken sound like they are closest to RE71, but have only talked to one person that has used them, so not sure. Going to get a set and try them,
