Keith, you just need me to stack a 30# weight on the spring and measure the height?
I will refrain from the orthojokes . Ah I forgot to mention, I mean the stock rear helper when it comes off. (There is only one 70 mm swift helper and that's 45 lbs/inch)
Yup, height of stock helper with and without 30#. Thanks again!

Here you go, Keith.
Helper is 2". With 24 pounds of books it comes down to 1.5".

Fwiw, my mechanic said that the springs were well thought out. They come down to the same length as stock and he didn't have to make any adjustments to the ride height of the car

I'm glad I didn't attempt to tackle the spring swap on my own. In the rear, the entire hub assembly has to come out.

The car feels a bit stiffer on the road, but nothing bad IMO. After driving a few miles I can't don't even notice it anymore. Crossing my fingers and hoping I will FINALLY have even tire wear. The car goes to Laguna next Tuesday

Joe, nice work. How many days are you up to this year with the car?

Less work, more play!

Hell, if I don't hit 20 track days/year I'm a very grumpy fellow.

Must work in order to play! Lol! I think I was able to do 17 last year, which was a lot for me.

I hope so. Martin is a front tire murderer. His are wearing pretty even these days. He didn't even scare Lar. Maybe he's using less lock now lol.

Thanks for the info. So the stock rear helper is ~50#/inch. Good to know, it's soft, so that it doesn't do anything most of the time (fully compressed), but it's not as soft as some other helpers sold. I like your selection of weights. In a world of ebooks, it's nice to have a heavy textbook.

Congrats on your car being under the knife again. I look forward to hearing your on-track impressions. I agree the setup is quite well thought out. Swift is just about the best spring company and if one wants to use all swift components, this is the set to get. (once the front rate is decided, e.g. anything > 350#/inch, helpers become a good choice in the front, and the shortest swift helper is long enough that 5 inch mains should be used, then 448 is actually the softest 5 inch main they make -> boom that's the setup)

Man, I really hope this is the last of it. I really hate spending money on modding a GT car when I really shouldn't need to.

It's bizarre that on my boxster spyder I could dial in my alignment with only one set of adjustable lca up front. I had even tire wear with just that and nothing more. I feel like I've had to throw the kitchen sink at the GT4

how much faster is the GT4 relative to the spyder at TH 3mi? (same config)
