pretty sweet.

did you have to option anything on the TA ? how much is MSRP?

will prolly need to see GT4 specs. b4 making that decision.

Thing about the GT4, other than the big wing, it's almost discreet.
Porsches have that. even with the big wing on my RS, it's an old design so it can never be too loud. That can't really be said for Viper/F cars

Looks like a no show at Detroit. Porsche has a line of red GTS cars and there is a 911 targa under on stage... So I am guessing a targa GTS.

No options. $101k all in. This is track only…I won't have it on the street much.

Wink 8000 colors?!*

I bet most of the colors are black, dark black, metallic black or white, light white, metallic white or some shade of gray or silver!

pretty cool that you're one of one, though

I am not….I placed my order too soon and I don't want to cancel my order and start over. The color pallet is nuts…there is a video that explains the process. The factory still paints by hand…140 hours. I have heard of quality issues, but only stellar reviews on the paint work.

I am a track junkie and the Manual is a huge bonus for me - hate to drive automatics/paddles on the track - much more interesting to perfect your driving technique and be rewarded with improved laptimes when you have to shift and match revs perfectly! I would skip a PDK only version too!

^Agree. I'm not trying to turn racing into my profession. Just love the feel of rowing those gears and using my left foot. Been fortunate enough to drive 458 Italia and Nissan GT-R on track and they are great cars . But not for me. For someone chasing 0.1 sec or DD it makes perfect sense with automatic.

Could not agree more with you guys.

At least in my case I'm just trying to go as fast as my skill will allow, rowing the gears and having a blast around the track and staying out of harms way (not hurt the car). A second or two or three faster than the other guy does not mean very much to me. Improving my own time...yes.

This car should be fantastic, I sure hope so, a very welcome stablemate.

You wanna know where Ralph Gilles got the idea for the T/A color and concept?
I pushed his Viper around for 5 days

He basically built an orange Viper RS lol

Targa NL 2011.

So just curious, being a 918 VIP member and all, where is, my offer to go to the front of the line on this car? I got plenty of emails for the stretch Pano with special leather they couldn't sell.

I feel your pain...but my understanding is that PAG is giving priority on the gt4 only to current (or former) owners of Boxster Spyder's and Cayman R's ...

I hate to clue you in, Melo-not, but once the 918 Spyders sold out & PAG doesn't have to play nice anymore, they are simply going back to their normal 'we-don't-give-a-damn' corporate mentality! By the way, I think you would look good on that stretched-out Pano...if it's not too late to reconsider.

Eduardo

Autobild says 3.6l, just under 400HP.

http://www.autobild.de/artikel/porsc...4-5553003.html

Google translation:
racecourse GT4 version of the Porsche Cayman is taking shape. As expected, the top version of the mid-engine coupe receives a large rear wing and a front apron with large air intakes. The GT4 is just under 400 horsepower from 3.6 liters once again outperformed the GTS (340 hp). Thus, its performance is on 911-S-level. Thanks lower weight should match the GT4 first time a Cayman can crack the 300-km / h mark. Launch in April 2015 before the Zuffenhauser is probably on the Geneva Motor Show 2015 presented. The prices are not fixed yet.
